Did Mavican really think it was going to be that easy to become Ares’ successor? I admire her ambition but we’re talking about going up against Xena. This scene again shows the brilliant mastermind of a warrior (Xena) able to outsmart her rival by creating a situation within a situation. Mavican did not stand a chance against Xena. Xena’s dark side is a work of art, allowing her to be the cunning warrior she is.

It's funny, because through my research into Greek myth, I never took Ares for the manipulative type.

@domidium For me it’s like this, Being the God of War means you do whatever it takes to create conflict whether it’s between two nations or among family or even friends for that matter. No matter how big or small the scale is you move pieces around like chess to see it done. I think manipulation plays a key role in that like getting into someone’s head or twisting words or facts to make sure that conflict is realized. There are no limitations to creating war.

I don't know what's wrong with this actress I just can't stand her neither as Mavigan nor as Sheridan.... Mavigan was by faaar one of the most annoying characters (tied with Mylo). The only worthy thing in this episode was the morphing effects which gave me witchy vibes
