Try insect glaive. "The Floor is lava" challenge becomes really fun with Xenojiva, and the fight becomes even more visually pleasing. (make sure to have Airborne and Handicraft, so that you at least deal some damage and don't immediately run out of sharpness. Also power prolonger to make your buffs last longer)

I would've titled this dragon as, "Parasitic Emporer Dragon," seeing as it can only get power from feeding off of stronger predators' bioenergy. Also, about that massive destruction it's feared to have the potential to wreak. I’m absolutely in love with that moment from 6:58 to 7:10, it just screams “oh shit.” In a game with boss themes so full of wonder and adventurous energy, having a hit of terror and chaos show through really sells just how dangerous Xeno’jiva is, warning you not to let your guard down even though the monster is at half health.

The first phase theme definitely fits in the vibe of "what the actual hell am I fighting?" that Xeno'jiiva initially gives, and I love it. Just remember that the norm for wyverns in the Monster Hunter world is four appendages - four legs for ground movement for Fanged Wyverns and wingless Flying Wyverns, two huge back legs and two smaller front legs for Brute Wyverns and the raptorial Bird Wyverns, and two wings and two back legs for true Bird Wyverns and true Flying Wyverns. Elder dragons are considered weird because they're often hexapods - six appendages. In this case, it's four limbs for walking and two wings on their shoulders. It's just that we in the real world are so used to that setup being the traditional Western dragon that it doesn't seem weird.

also might i add , the fact that you couldnt really tell if xeno jiiva has an insect hive like origin or its straight up an Alien is soooo mysterious and hype aswell as Disturbing at the same time , good thing that you the hunter stood in its way or it will affect the ecosystem in ways one cannot even imagine at the time , like reproduce at a cocoon alarming hive like nest state

Anyone else like Xeno more than Safi? Something about the alien look and glowing, translucent skin with the super energy beams are really cool. Safi is cool as well but for me Xeno takes the cake for the coolest looking monster in this generation, alongside Namielle and Valstrax (I know Val is in older games I just didn't get to play any of them). At least in my opinion :)

Arch xeno was my favourite fight. I know an arch safi probably wouldn't be viable, dunno what new moves they could do that would surpass Sapphire of the Emperor, but damn shame we didn't get arch reworks of Safi or Shara in the last update. Will miss you laser moth dragon

closest you got for shara is naked truth quest it's a buffed shara ala classic event quests before world like at's before at's(check out the 4u quest out of time as an example). also gives tickets but for layered armor. No at or something like for black dragons tho

Nergigante is still my favourite dragon fight (and Vaal Hazak) but this thing was insane to fight I fainted twice, and of course, as I awaken on my final attempt, it hits me “Oh shit…I’m out of healing items, and I can’t boost my health…I’m screwed” I was one mistimed dodge from death, as I struck its tail one final time and watched it die For a final boss, it was alright, nothing too phenomenal, again it’s still not my favourite fight, but it’s still serviceable as a final fight I think it kinda sucks how most final fights are nowhere near the best in their respective games Alright, onto the DLC
