Thanks so much. Glad it helps. Xeno v3 still has a bit of a way to go before it’s great. They still need to work out some bugs but at least it’s come this far and looking forward to the coming updates.

Great video as always. So glad Xeno3 made it so easy. For those that are new to this if there’s no kill switch on your saber then pull the battery out before the SD Card.

Yes. Pretty much all xeno v3 have the kill switch now thank god. Makes things so much better

You’re the first person I’ve seen use a Mac to install soundfonts! As a Mac user I was worried I’d have to purchase a cheap windows laptop just to install soundfonts on my future lightsaber purchase 😅😅

Hey, Jon! Thank you for the instructional video! Question: Just for clarification, before we attempt this on one of our sabres, adding fonts to the Xenopixel V3 follows the same method as the SNV4-drag & drop-correct? Or is there any additional/informational step(s) that we must adhere to in advance, like renaming the config files and such? Thanks! 🙏

As long as they are Xeno files it should be drag and drop and number the folder.

You should do a video on how to add fonts of your own including adding music files that you might want to add. I know that there is a certain Wave format and all that it has to be done in order for the saber to use it on Xeno.

Now how do I tell the board how fast the blade should extend and retract? and how do I save the appropriate color without first setting it on the handle or with the app?

I have not found that option in the code yet so I’m thinking they are gonna push that in to the app soon

You should make a video on how to update the SD card and also customize the new saber font!

each folder now has its own config file. there you can edit the font style( such as blade style and preon). You can look config file in settings to see what each thing means. As for the color of the font and such that can just be changed in the app.

Should have been this week. It half filmed but ran in to a small issue with the hex wrench size. CCsabers included the wrong size. The hex retention screw is the smallest thing I have ever seen in my life hahah .I’m just waiting to hear back from CCsabers about it. But it’s half filmed already and waiting on the correct wrench so I can fit the blade in!

Back up the SD card to your computer.

So I just recieved my saber, it didn't come with a micro SD card so I have no idea how I'm supposed to get soundfonts onto it? I purchased a micro sd card from walmart but it's empty and doesn't have the firmware on it I guess? Please Help!!!!

Contact who ever you bought it from. They should be able to help you with what needs to be on the card.

A question i have to this is if someone buys a xeno saber from something like the apprentice tier from vaders sabers, would those sabers have just as a easy and fast time to drag and drop in new fonts to SD card?

What companies have the new boards? I got a Luke EP6 from nsabers a week ago thinking it had the new board but I don’t think it does. I can’t even connect to the app…..

Everyone ships Xeno v3. I looked up the Nsabers Like ep6, Did you spend what version did you get? Baselit, Neopixel or Proffie because I do not like how their is made or descriptions they list.

I emailed Nsabers a few days ago asking what board they use on their neopixels as I am looking at potentially picking one of theirs up. They use SNV4 on all their neopixels, so you'll want their app instead to make it work.

Mine didn't come with an SD card. And for some reason none of my swing sound fonts from Kybe phonics do not make a sound after I upload the fonts

Sounds about right. Only think I can say is make sure to do your best to update the software. That helped many people. Besides that, I have said that in a few past videos with xeno, blue tooth connection is not also ways solid for many people. But I don’t use the app for more than a couple settings. So I never really notice it much.
