Pretty much the only ones in context are the Queen lines, "The Flame Clock, it has to go!" (That one is spot on in the cutscene), the you're not enemies line from Vandham, and "We're fighting because there are enemies to kill" also somewhat "must be nice, all that time you have left", and finally the opening. All the rest are completely out of context

The final shot with the Mechonis remains and Urayan remains give some chills. The respective box art titans for each games being shown just shows that this game is an actual honest to God sequel continuing the stories of 1 and 2

I predicted it like... in 2017 when XC2 was released. I said: "if there will be a Xenoblade Chronicles 3, it will be the missing link between the first 2 games" when I saw the Mechanis blade and Urayan titan remains, I literally exploded, also 1:25 that's clearly Nia.

I really appreciate the games they make for the most part. I still think the best one is still the first one. I really like the first one got super far into it years ago never beat it. The second one I loved starting out but eventually I lost interest. I ended up hating the RNG mechanics and the battle system. I found all their games fascinating though

The fact that there's so much of both Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 you can see in the backgrounds from the Blades to the Mechon, the Mechonis Sword and the Titan head, and even the little things like how the weapons are made gives me so much hope that we're gonna get a merging of both Xeno 1 and Xeno 2's stories and worlds in a really interesting way. You can't look at DE, 2, and 3 (and their respective side stories) as three separate games anymore. You should treat them like the old Final Fantasy games that were spread across three disks. The Klaus Saga isn't three separate games, it's one super massive game.

Xenoblade fans are probably the most grateful fans of a nintendo franchise that isn't mario or zelda. You guys are having it all, although there was a rocky start with the first game coming outside of japan, you got the 1st game being on the switch, got a new game on the Wii U, got a proper sequel on the switch even if the last one didn't do as well, Dlc for some of these games, Shulk, Pyra and Mythra are in smash and now this! With all of this content being shoved up in the fans' throats in a short amount of time, it's very fascinating how appreciative and delighted they are when they do get something. There are so many franchises on nintendo that either give too little for the fans (F-zero, Donkey kong, Mother, Star Fox, etc) or too much (Mario, Zelda, pokemon, Fire Emblem, etc. Although they do deserve it), but xenoblade fans get the right amount and I'm happy that they're happy. Not a fan myself but hey I do have my fix with Mario Strikers and Kirby so I ain't complaining.

Hey man, give xenoblade 1 a playthrough. Of all the games i'd say xenoblade 1 respects your time the most. It's definetely a game that while massive, cant leave you with nothing to do. If you already tried xc1 then try xc2 the story and the voice acting may be a bit weird in the beginning but there is a good story beneath. The combat does keep the player fully engaged and i love it personally. Just watch the help video chuggaaconroy made in his xc2 lets play. It helps alot since the tutorials are really bad in the game

The style seems to be a nice mix of Xenoblade 1’s and 2’s styles, a lot of the characters and settings suspiciously resemble ones we’ve seen before, and I can also spot a core crystal on the Nia look-alike. Can't believe it's almost been 2 years since I was watching the direct live with my friends and it was nearing the 40 minute mark without announcing anything I really cared about. "This next segment will be our last announcement." I had convinced myself XC3 would never happen so I wouldn't be disappointed. I've never been more happy to be wrong in my life. I cried tears of joy and was so loud I could hardly speak the next day. Sometimes I look back and wonder if there will ever be moments like this again.

In fact, if the suggestions that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will serve as the "Episode VI" of Takahashi's "Perfect Works", then he will have finally fulfilled the complete story he's always wanted to tell since Xenogears.

Xenoblade 1 wasn't about interstellar war though, unless you're referring to Xenosaga 123. In an interview Tetsuya did mention Xenoblade 1, though it had similar concepts and themes, wasn't thought to be a "Xeno" title in the beginning.

This is not how the perfect works is broken down. Xenosaga 1-3 does not equate to 3 episodes. 1 and 2 were supposed to be a part of a single episode. Gears was listed as episode v. Xenosaga has so much lost media and some of it was not published here stateside (while fans have tried translating a lot of it, many pieces were not preserved.) The drama cds which explain how chaos came to meet Matthew's Crew and how they ended up working for the Foundation, Missing year, Pied Piper available on the Vondafone as a mobile series that takes place during Ziggy's time - which one person keeps claiming to have here on youtube, but highly doubtful... Xenosaga freaks for ps2 was also never brought over. There are many pieces. I wish one day we could have it all in one lump. But as much as it is my dream to work on the series, I imagine it is Takahashi's to be able to complete his vision is his life time. It says something when your work makes people have the desire to make it their work as well. Bravo. Hype for us fans

Notes after several viewings and slowed analysis: The flute in the beginning has patterns similar to the pattern found on the 3 in the logo, both of which are similar to certain parts of the final boss of XC1 The girl with the rings has a Flesh Eater core, an interesting detail that I found surprising. Several characters are obvious references to others (the ring girl is uncannily similar to Nia, the man with the scar is almost a spitting image of Vandham, and the girl on the stage with the flute bears a striking resemblance to both Fiora and Galea) The first machine we see at about 0:26 has a metal plating on its front, which appears to be at the very least based on Metal Face??? The soldiers at the beginning appear to be wielding blade weapons, though they could also be Monado-powered thanks to Shulk’s innovations in FC The main protag appears to wield a modified version of the Monado REX? The voice playing over the scene with the sunset on the cliff as the two protags face each other sounds like Rex? It may just be a similar actor, but interesting to note nonetheless. It appears that Nia and Melia will return, likely leading rival factions. A voice mentions at one point that allies are “becoming his fuel”. Those who have completed XC1 know why this is a particularly interesting choice of words and suggests far more than it may seem. We see very, very little Nopon action in this trailer, only 2 Nopon visible as far as I can tell Areas from former games that I was able to recognize include: Eyrith Sea, the Fallen Arm, Alba Cavanich, what appear to be the ruins of the Leftherian Archipelago, and a form of Gaur Plains. A boat is seen with a third person perspective, similar to regular gameplay footage. Vehicular travel is very likely in XC3 The 4 member party system has returned from XCX So far, no alternate costumes have appeared, potentially suggesting a lack of comprehensive cosmetic system, as was the case in XC2 until Land of Challenge. This is likely just for the sake of the trailer, as customization was further expanded in XC2 dlc and even further expanded in XC:DE Add anything I missed!!!

This game seems to imply that, when the protagonists of the previous game rewrote their version of the future, the negative parts that were left behind all merged into this universe, just like what happened to Klaus when he split the universe in two. I'm loving all the speculation for this game's story, and I'm excited to see how they are gonna deliver us this great story. Since Monolith are legends at story telling and worldbuilding, I have faith that this will be the best Xenoblade experience we're gonna get.

It's implied that the universe of Xenoblade 1, which consisted only of the two titans and the endless sea, was it's own isolated universe which was separated from the universe of Xenoblade 2, which was basically the original universe. So taking what we learned from Xenoblade 1 and 2, and looking at this trailer, it's likely that what happened was Alvis reversed the "phase transition" experiment and merged Xenoblade 1's universe back into the original Xenoblade 2 universe, essentially transporting the bodies of the 2 titans to Alrest, where everything began. Xenoblade 3 is likely the state of Alrest years after the remains of the two titans, and everything on them, are brought into the original universe. Xenoblade X probably takes place centuries or millenia after Xenoblade 3.

The only big connections it has to the main series is the appearance of Telethia and Tatsu briefly calling the humans "hom-hom." Telethia and "hom-hom" were things that only existed in Xenoblade 1's universe. Being the "black sheep" of the franchise isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if Xenoblade 3 introduces things that were featured in Xenoblade X, then I suppose it's possible that it may be seen as less of a "black sheep."

Explaining how the nations of Agnus and Keves settled their differences and came together as one nation that sets out to explore and populate the cosmos; fulfilling Shulk's dream of meeting the new lifeforms of the vast universe he created.

@@Dr.Meme-Man I think it's entirely possible that may be the case, and it would be cool if that's actually what ends up happening cause I've been waiting for Xenoblade X to come to the Switch and a sequel. One thing I do want to point out though is that Shulk didn't actually create a new universe. Alvis recognized Shulk as a being who had the authority to decide the future of XC1's universe, but it is Alvis who actually facilitates that action. Based on what we learned in XC1 and XC2, and taking into account what we see in this trailer, Alvis basically merged XC1's universe back into XC2's universe, the original universe that is not governed by gods.

I haven't been this happy in months. Dealing with the pandemic and post graduation depression has been relentless on my soul. The stories of Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and 2 have touched my heart unlike anything else I've ever seen. The team at Monolith Soft are something else entirely - they make absolute sure that their stories are crafted with care. And on top of all that it's coming out this year! I can't wait.

For anyone wandering the name of the world Aionios in Greek means "Eternal". So the world of Eternal if my hunch that it is derived from Greek is correct. Having played both Xenoblade Chronicles and the Torna dlc i am pretty excited about this one, seems to blend elements from both games.
