wanted to say thank you i have looked all over for somethin to help me with this i was @ 6000 miranium and it was drivin me nuts i have all probes down and almost all of them found i just put the yellows down and i went from 6000 to 24000 now i can finally start gettin some good gear/slots u would think being 80 hrs into the game i would a figured that out my self lol just focused more on game play than the nav stuff great video thx for the help

+Jimmy Barrett I've definitely noticed that even in the earlier hours of the game, treasure most often gives Mining probes. My best advice is to tackle sidequests, specifically those involving Kirsten- since she deals with probes.

sorry if its nitpicky or anything, but saying "if it has an A in revenue, place a Research probe!" is not the top priority. a C Revenue but 1 Sightseeing Spot is better than an S Revenue and 0 Sightseeing spots. prioritize those Sightseeing spots with research probes! its actually incredibly helpful! i wish i knew about this when i was breaking my neck looking for credits :( and the battle probes are actually mandatory for some awesome challenges. theres an awesome player somewhere who fought and defeated the strongest superboss in the game without using his Skell in combat, and without using invincibility builds like Decoy or Reflect. whether the probes gave him a large boost to resistances and offense, or just a tiny amount to make this feat possible, i cant say. but he claims they are mandatory, and to see a single man take on a beast of that size and win? its mindblowing. i hope im not spoiling too much with this comment, you can delete it if i am.

Does a duplicater probe work with storage probes? And can it actually duplicate multible probes of the same type? Like 3 research probes are connected to one duplicater probe, does this probe than acts as 3 research probes or can it just duplicate each type just once?

+Ryasson Yup! It can duplicate storage probes. It will duplicate multiple probes of the same type I believe, the catch is they have to be directly connected to the duplicator probe. Even if they're chained further down the line, if they're not directly connected to the duplicator probe in the immediate area no dice. Hope this helps!

Fayorei, I have a question about this game. You know how when you beat an affinity mission, place a data probe or finish a segment recon your survey rate of Mira raises? I was wondering if doing basic or normal mission affect that survey rate. Do you know that? And also, I was wondering if basic missions that you accept from the board are unlimited and new ones are randomly generated or if there is actually a point where there are no more basic missions for you to accept.

+Twilight Kingdom I do know that on the board, there are limited missions. On the first thing, I am actually unsure! I think a mission could affect it since some map segments are dedicated to missions! I will test that.

+Eden Sama Yeah, it can be very variable dependent on situations. In the video, there's 5 rank 1 probes linked for an example, but yeah chaining 5 Mining Rank 2 probes is better than 5 Mining Rank 1 Probes!

+uberlaharl There's a pretty wide variety of side missions that can grant probes. Treasures(marked by the little yellow squares on the map) can also grant probes. And completing certain Collectopedia categories and areas!

I have a probe at fn site 108 in primordia but I can't fast travel to it. is this a glitch or normal? game recognizes probe is there and I've tried changing probe type but still nothing. Really thought every probe could be fast travelled to but this one isn't working. I rebooted game and still can't fast travel to it. Very odd and annoying. hope someone can help me with this.

+The Elephant Something important that I didn't find out til very recently is that Storage Probes do not have to be connected to your Mining Probe chains. I would look for locations that don't have a high grade in Production and are linked, and then go ahead and chain Storage Probes there! Also, Booster Probes and Duplicator Probes work with Storage Probes.

In the early game, Kirsty will give you one within her first two missions that unlock around chapter 3.

+HPD You have to wait for it to tick ingame sadly. And from what I've heard, you can't idle for credits sadly. As long as you have your Research probes down and ready to go, you'll get a credits flow as you play the game!

+FiuXis Mainly, storage probes come from missions and the like. They're much more rare than the regular probe types, and to my knowledge they aren't able to be salvaged from treasures.

The short version is, use Noctilum, Primordia, or Oblivia to make a nice big chain of Research Probes(up to 8 in a chain), and add Booster and Duplicator ones where you have them to get the credits amount. Also, there's Sightseeing Spots listed on some probe site locations, exploring the area to get those discovered is a HUGE credits booster!

Xenoblade is so good with tutorials, I wonder why they screwed up so hard with Xenoblade X. Probes are not very well explained, O.C. is just handwaved despite being one of the most important mechanics in the game, and the game doesn't even inform you what level your character should be at before they register a DOLL/Skell (it's Lvl 30, but you have to figure it out yourself). Honestly, I can't call Xenoblade X a bad game, but it does a lot of things in a confusing manner that its predecessor got right on the first try.
