I mean, who said she had to be a secret. Fiora doesn't appear in Future Redeemed(outside a flashbacks), so she could potentially be dead, which could help explain why Shulk isn't really feeling it anymore, and there was the time when Fiora asked Melia to take care of Shulk if she ever passed. I'm not saying it's likely, but it isn't that large of a leap in logic.

@@thedelly535 Yeah Rex says in game that since Ontos was supposed to be between the male Logos and female Pneuma, they have aspects of both. What this means is up to interepretation obviously, but the Ontos core is pretty clearly meant to be neither male or female.
