5:23 yes the mods do show up in the thumbnail to non-modded players, you can often find cars in the auction house with tire lettering that isn’t available to regular players.

Auction house thumbnails are basically a screenshot from the client, so a quick 3d model swap can do that.

it is a real shame the m2 doesn't have m performance parts - it is literally a factory bodykit for the car and has appeared on the m4 and m3.

Amazing video, it was worth waiting for! Regarding that unknown wing on M2, I think somebody managed to equip a hidden wing option that is in the game files, but unavailable for players due to lack of licence or some other law related things with some external software used to modify game state data. Otherwise if it would be a mod, it couldn't be seen by other players.

The full SARD GT1 kit for the new BRZ is actually in the files of Forza Horizon 5. They just didn't put it in for some reason. There is also Prior Design I30N and Kona N widebody in the files. Magna Tuning Intenso kit for Kona N is also in the files.

The Pro Stock cars use a 5 speed Lenco transmission. Those transmissions do not use a clutch to shift.

The thumbnail glitch has been a thing that's been in previous horizons too, I often have glitches on number 5 my main one is having headlight completely blacked out, all I can think of are these are things that the companies are either trying out or have tried out in the past and decided not to, I've had numerous bumper and body kit glitches too and sometimes tire width and compound.

5:01 Car thumbnails are client-side, being uploaded onto forza servers as-is. I've tried this by putting up a 720s livery with a senna wing and it did show up on others' screen as such. The owner of the m2 had modded the game to replace the front and rear aero models and textures with different ones This isn't hidden customization, and modding the game is easier than you think with much better results than you could imagine, such as this.

5:20 this is highly likely the case. The rear wing looks like the heritage wing from the Supra Mk5 and the front splitter seems like it matches that of the Mk5 Supra too. Thumbnails are generated locally. Remember when there was a glitch that would make your windscreen and headlights black in the thumbnails? Forza devs confirmed that they're stored locally and therefore they fixed it, but you should still change a part of the visual appearance of the car to fix it on a car that was affected. So you're in charge of what the thumbnail looks like. Most likely the auction thumbnails are also stored locally and as the visual 'modding' of Forza is limited to adding custom visual parts from other cars to different cars, most likely the person selling the M2 put the Supra parts on it, then sold it and what you see is the locally generated thumbnail on their end. I cannot confirm this but it seems like that's what happened.

Man, the race cars in this pack remind of FH3, I loved cars like the Fire GT and the R8 LMS. I have to say though, maybe a hot take, but I want to drive the Lexus the most. My uncle owns an RCF, and I must say, riding in it was quite the experience. It’s so pretty and smooth, such a fantastic machine. I’d love to try driving it around Mexico! Thanks Ericship! Pro stock cars don't use clutches to shift at all. They are clutchless units that only use a small diameter lever activated clutch for getting setup on the starting line, reversing after burnouts. Once the are setup they start creeping through the staging lights using what is called a trans brake.

In terms of the clutch, it's probably the most unrealistic thing in FH5, as ypu can change gears without it on manual with clutch. If you aren't on the throttle when changing, the car changes without overrevving.
