Perhaps the best love story of all time. I prayed for such an anointing and God was kind enough to give me my Xerxes. However the phase of rejection has been quite overwhelming and I hope like Esther found favor one day he will see the truth.

It's beautiful. I've checked it out from the library probably 10 times and made my family watch with me. And this is really out of left field, but another really cool movie set ages ago is Gladiator. Kind of gory and has sad (and definitely a few creepy-cringe parts cause one character is a whole dick) but it's one of my dad and I's favorite movies. Hope you get to see one night with the king🙂

Wowo I loved this video!! I love the coloring it makes the movie looks even more beautiful than it already is. I always loved reading Esther's story in the Bible and this movie just magnified the beauty of their relationship. I like how he fell in love with her in this movie from her reading to him. when Esther was with Mordecai, Xerxes indeed thought it was a lover, they were actually at the "lover's gate" (a entrance of the palace which is not the main entrance)but in this relationship, many things aren't said or asked. They never trusted eachother fully untill the end where Xerxes comes back for Esther cause he believed her. (part 1) ( i had to split it in 2 parts cause it was too much..)

And about the scene at 0.14, he isn't searching the company of another women, in the film, you'll see a couple of servants laughing, (the noice that esther head). Xerxes is only talking to a man in another room.. but esther can't see through the door and thinks it's Xerxes making the noices. She can't stand it and all those things that aren't said or questioned aren't good for their relationship.. and they'll have a fight (at 0.1) (part 2)

Yes.. Esther was at the lovers gate and he came home early to surprise her... when she was going to be with him she heard lovers voices and assumed he was with one of his concubines which was customary for the kings but it was not Xerxes it was 2 servants
