Totally agree. I hadn't even heard of this song till I heard Chers audition & rushed KZbin to view the jeri hikson version thinking I'd found a banger of a tune and was left So disappointed. It was rubbish no flow nor beat. The only good version is Chers. Made it her own and a hit.. she has such a beautiful voice, and hits those high notes flawlessly 🥰

Yeah totally made me emotional too. She is super talented and there was that aspect. BUT.... I remember watching her on the show and also remembered while watching how the public were pretty unfair towards her. The pressure too much for her. She could not even get her voice out. But she was graceful to retreat. Glad they let her through. After that she was rolling on the stage like a pro. I really love her when she sang Imagine. It was like her original solo....very talented and refreshing

She looked confident even she was only 16 and is still going strong 😊 That one on one basis with Cheryl and Will I Am she looked so scared and had a sore throat but tried to carry on it was nice that Cheryl hugged her and told her it was going to be okay and told her that she could hear her heartbeat, Cheryl saw herself in Cher when she was young and knew what she was feeling as she felt it at the start of her career as she started out like Cher and went on a singing competition and formed Girls Aloud and then went solo and sang with Will I Am and did well for herself 🙂
