Of course, if you saw yourself somewhere as a child, that child must have a mother, presumably the younger version of your mother, who is married to the younger version of your father and so on. Everyone everywhere would be bumping into their younger selves or younger parents etc.. It would get to a point where you would avoid them (in supermarkets and so on).

I have never run into myself on a bicycle, but I did once run into my own car, while driving my own car. I was driving up my very long driveway in the middle of a rain storm, went to do a U-turn when I reached my house. But the driveway was muddy and slippery, so my car didn't turn but smacked straight into the front of my other car, that was just parked there. I never thought I would ever be in head on collision, where both cars were mine. Highly embarrassing.

With mentioning Chesterfield sofas did you happen to see the video I put up recently how Chesterfield sofas are made 😅 or is it coincidence. All sofas/chairs aren't equal anyway, we have had a few leather sofas and compared to fabric variety they are cold to sit on in winter. Aesthetically, an old fashioned leather Chesterfield is a great show piece though. Our cats shredded our fabric sofas too on the sides, which is why we got a leather one "Made In Britain - How Chesterfield Sofas are made"

Oh God learning the recorder, We had to do that in school too (in the UK) not sure if they still do it nowdays. I'm pretty sure it was some kind of scam though, because the school sold the recorders to parents for £10 each because come on, where on earth would you buy one pre internet? So many parents complained about the noise, then the music teacher dropped some wisdom to stop the parents murdering their kids. Put a piece of folded paper in the hole, and just work on the fingering. And yes it was always Mary had a Fricking little lamb. (Silent Night at Christmas)

Since i know absolutely nothing about chesterfield couches, i'll involve myself; i would expect a bunch of buttons to work on the "bed of nails" principle. That is, if you step on only one nail you'll hurt yourself, but step on a hundred and the force spreads out. Also, I think the buttons recede further into the couch than "the spongy bits" (had to borrow from Karl's dictionary there).

About the fear of ghosts: Honestly, I've thought about it myself and I feel the same way. But ONLY if other people see the ghost too. Because then I'll know it's a real ghost and not just me finally gone completely insane. Obviously, i knew him from his role in DS9, but he often plays psycopaths in films, especially a horrible character in Dorty Harry, a film i love. He was fantastic.
