I'm glad to see my views be reflected in somebody as talented and experienced as Araki.
@mrszmatan27274 жыл бұрын
I don't try to be this lgbtq+ Karen and all shit but that's pretty sexist, thinking that female character in manga can't have any desire except being with main character. Sadly that's most popular way to show female characters
@smiledogjgp4 жыл бұрын
@@mrszmatan2727 Are you saying that I am sexist or just that the most common depiction of women in writing is sexist? I also tend to disagree with the most common depiction of female characters being over-romantic tail-chasers. It's no better than having the token male character who has nothing but sex oh his mind. They are both out of touch with reality, and while they may have their place in certain genres, I probably shouldn't be seeing much of a lovelorn swooner in my action anime.
@mrszmatan27274 жыл бұрын
@@smiledogjgp I meant that most common depiction of women is sexist. It's honestly super comforting to know that Araki starts with an extremely detailed character sheet when creating any kind of character. It is so incredibly fulfilling to just build your character from the ground up like they were a protagonist in their own story. When you do use those characters later, no matter how minor, knowing how they will react to situations becomes so much easier. This is because their traits are tied to those background details like a web and thus it is like a cascade of cause and effect.

blood type myth is actually very important in Japan, that there was also a rumour that Japanese companies prefer A-type employee, and B-type employee is being recruited the less because of the blood type myth. There's a 4-panels manga about blood type personalities and it was adapted into an anime.

@Faick999995 жыл бұрын
Euclase W I agree with you I read bnha and I find many characters really interesting and how their quirks are linked to their story and personality/ambitions. But I have to say characters interactions « in general » are just so boring to me compared to JoJo. It lacks the bizarre element and it’s just plain boring dialogue between schoolboys and girls most of the time.

Faick LOG seems like it’s more of a taste thing then. Because I love some of the little interactions characters have and how some minor supporting cast gets enough limelight that they are basically main characters. Jojos is entirely different and is its own category but I still love both. But I do gotta say the jojo fandom is infinitely times better than the bnha one. The fandom is my main problem with it.

Kira was unsettling and a very disturbing villain. He was perfect! But it also felt like he was sort of forgotten about for the entire middle of part 4. I actually forgot about him for a few episodes even. They did the same for Dio kinda, but they gave him so much more screen time. The final battle was amazing with both of them too, but i feel like Kira didnt get enough build-up. Still an amazing villain and amazing fight though
@roetheboat15 жыл бұрын
Dio/DIO is flamboyantly evil. Not as in homosexual (although he is bi), but as in the actual definition that says "tending to attract attention because of their exuberance, confidence, and stylishness." That's literally how DIO operates in Parts 1 and 3. He's just so....arrogant and energetic that it's captivating to watch him. The Pillar Men are interesting, as each of them represents different aspects of Joseph. Cunning/trickery with Esidesi, honor with Wamu, and being willing to sacrifice anything and everything to win with Kars. The different aspects of his personality get analyzed more because of the Pillar Men. Kira may be the exact opposite of Josuke when it comes to power and abilities, but he wants the same thing. They both want to have peaceful lives. Kira just wants to be able to explode people and get the hands of women so he can get boners. Josuke can't have a peaceful life anymore because of family issues. Remember, Part 4 starts when Jotaro comes to Morioh to inform Josuke about the fact that he's going to inherit a good chunk of money since he is Joseph's Illegitimate son. Josuke WANTS to go back to his peaceful life, but he can't because of Stand users and Kira. In Part 5, Diavolo is very similar to DIO in that they both want power. However, unlike DIO, Diavolo wants to stay hidden away. DIO was theatrical with his evilness. He takes time to, in the middle of a fight, cut up a cat and then throw the pieces of the body into the food of nearby people. Diavolo is far more surgical in his attacks.

Araki always was and will always be a huge influence for my art, my stories, the characters I create and even for me personally. He was the reason I continued writing and drawing after giving it up a few years prior, because of some negative feedback. I don't draw, write or create for others anymore, because it's just what I wanted to do. Anonymously posting a couple short stories under a fake account every time and getting positive feedback of impressed visitors, also getting critique by those, who are way superior in what they do, is fun every now and then, but I prefer keeping most of them for myself.
