I agree, like it's hard to not compare XG to older rappers because they are that good. They are so natural in what they do that they seem like they've been here rapping/ singing like the OGs. Japanese is their native language and Korean would be their second language so English is their third language except is only for Maya where English is her second language. But nevertheless their rapping and singing in English is pure fire and pure talent. Imagine being able to spit with their cadence and flow in a second or third language. EPIK HIGH-TABLO has a right to be angry. He was accused of lying about graduating from Stanford and his super high IQ. The entire Korean media slandered him and a group of 100,000 people on social media harassed him for years. His brother was fired from his good job because of the controversy, and his father died during it bc of the stress. TABLO nor his baby and wife could even go out of his house without being attacked. His career was destroyed. And No one believed him even when there was evidence from Stanford saying it was true. Turns out a jealous man in Chicago made it all up and the crazy Korean general public wanted to believe him. I’m sure Tablo’s still recovering mentally. There’s a multi-hour podcast about it on Apple Podcasts. Fascinating.
