That was Ito Airi she was a highly ranked trainee from AVEX artist academy just like most of the girls. She was injured and unable to participate in the training camp.

That last scene really squeezed my heart. Seeing them cry breaks ny heart and what Simon said to them was just heartwarming. I literally cant stop balling when I heard his message to Amy and seeing Amy cry gosh it hurts. I have HUGE respect to all the girls and the whole team for everthing. Yes, it was hard to watch but im glad they are where they are now. All those sacrifices and hardwork paid off.

I think the coolest thing about this Documentary other than it being about XG is that it gets even better with each episode that drops.

Amen to that. Getting better and getting more emotional. Last one was just pure waterworks. I hope it won't be the case for the next one. But we know XGALX and XG. It gets better everytime.

Simon Jakops is a genius and also if I were to stan a CEO/Boss, it would be Simon. He is beloved by a great many ALPHAZ, including by all 7 members of XG.

I have no doubt that I will begin to understand him better. This is the ONLY things I’ve seen from him so you have to understand why it’s hard to see and hard to understand him. But I’m sure with more time I will warm up 🤣❤️

Yes 👍🏽 this episode in the series is tough but they overcame their frustrations, mental issues and learning curves that greatly improved their individual skills. They are absolutely the Dream Team and I can’t see XG without the dynamics of any one of them. Simon is coming from a perspective as a former K-pop idol where it was harsh, sometimes very cruel (because he was not fully Korean) and extremely difficult. (I’m very annoyed when I still see these Xenophobic comments against him). 😳🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you so much for continuing your journey XG’s Documentary. The girls who didn’t debut are most likely in Japan’s Avex Training Program. I hope they all achieve their goals and dreams. 🙆🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥🇺🇸🐺

22:00 The one you called a worker that was crying is Airi Ito. She's the one that said she injured her foot in like EP 1 or 2. She obviously never had a chance to join XG because she literally was unable to dance even if she wanted to.

Simon-San might have been harsh on the girls, but we must remember that he's been there too. And he knows it's gonna be a lot tougher even after they debut. Also notice the time when Maju and Yui came to train, Chisa, Juria and Maya came 2 hours late before they approached Simon and the coaches. But when Simon lit their bums on fire they realized it's really a do or die situation. Also him trying to make the girls bond makes it much better to work as a unit rather than the 'everyone for themselves' attitude. XG is not only a group, it's a family. I'm so excited to see your reaction to the latest episodes. Brace yourself it's gonna be a tearjerker.

Very true! I have no doubt that the way Simon was, was for the best. But it’s not easy to see. It’s also not easy to like him when this is the ONLY things I’ve seen of him. With time I will slowly get to understand him and the process that better (I think probably in the coming episodes) xx

@@melaniereacts Yep. I understand too Ma'am, I really do. It was hard for me to understand him at first especially when he's yelling at the girls. But when I saw the XTRA XG stuff, XG DAYS and the blogs of the girls, on how they love and respect him - I came to admire the man too. Next episode will probably make you cry more. Ready the tissues. 🤧😂 Thank you for the XG love as always.

I totally agree with all your points. As an empath, it is so hard to watch how harshly these (very young) girls are treated. I’ve finished the documentary and I still feel that way. However, some of their behind the scenes videos show the relationship between the girls and Simon in a better light. Also, I don’t know if it’s the editing or subtitle translation, but it never feels like Simon says anything useful. His criticism never comes across constructive, he never tells them *how* to do better or what they’re missing. He pretty much just says they don’t want it enough. They are children. They need some guidance!

well it doesn't get easier to watch you will be a wreck by the time you get to the end of Ep6, the cool part of this whole series you get to see all the work that goes into making these groups/singers, unlike western music the groups/singers in Asian music are actually trained in every aspect of being a idol/star (from behaviour to performance and interviews) and do so for many years prior to debut (which is probably why so many artist F up and fail in western culture), not saying it doesn't happen over there but most of that comes down to the management and labels not the artists themselves unlike here it's the artists mostly, it is hard to watch when someone can see the potential of a person and has to make them focus and overcome their personal restrictions but the end results speak for themselves when they do

This documentary is so good but also emotionally draining lol every time I watch an episode I just go and watch the BTS content the girls post on KZbin or tik Tok to remind myself that they’ve made it. Also, I thought the same thing about the 10 year old girl.. I feel like the age gap between her and the older members would have been too much. She’s 15 now and even though that’s only a 2 year age difference between her and Cocona/Maya, 2 years makes a world of difference when it comes to teenagers. I just feel bad because I feel like subconsciously Simon knew she and the other younger girls wouldn’t be picked yet they still went through so much. This isn’t to say that they wasted their time because they learned so much and who knows maybe he did consider them all equally but he did say he subconsciously wanted Chisa, Maya, and Juria to debut so I can’t say he was completely unbiased. I just want to say, these next few episodes are tear jerkers so prepare tissues before hand because you will need them for sure 😅

I think the age thing was not a factor at all. It's just that he saw special qualities in Chisa, Maya, and Juria (the same qualities that ALPHAZ now see) that led him to think they might be the ones to debut but he wasn't sure because anything could happen since they still had a long way to go.

Bro its not mean he knows what hes doing you cant sit here and enjoy sunshine and rainbows side of the kpop industry without also understanding the harsh reality of the process it takes to be a top talent the girls hard work and simon teachings are parts of the girls success being a non korean group from a small company and hoping they breakthrough and cause enough attention to be considered a serious player if you don't care about that process i guess you just want to live in a lie these experiencces have happened with all your faves you cant be naive or blissfully ignorant to this simon is a dope guy that gave you one your fav gg out so what is your problem i dont understand

Lol not one time did I ever say that it should be sunshine and rainbows. Just because this is how the industry is, doesn’t mean I have to like it. I literally said in the video that I know this is what they need to do. But again, this does not mean that I have to think it’s ok or be “happy” with it. It’s HARSH. It’s traumatising. It’s not nice to watch. I grew up as an elite athlete and represented my country in 6 world championships, I understand the process of hard work and what it takes to be the best at what you have to do. I also coach elite athletes and I know as a coach that you cannot be nice all the time. I’ve said in literally every reaction to this documentary that it’s so fascinating seeing the process of becoming an idol. That it’s harsh but it makes me appreciate them so much more. I even said that I can only imagine that Simon gets so frustrated and strict on them because he cares so much about them. But I will reiterate what I have said already twice - this does not mean that I have to like it. Because IT IS MEAN. Regardless of wether it’s what has to be done or not. You cannot sit here and tell me that a grown man screaming at children is nice to watch. So instead of coming to my page and telling me I am naive, maybe take a step back and see where I am coming from. Why are you getting so frustrated at me not liking to see the girls cry?
