Kamiya Airi the leader of XGALX at the time has a solo career, also keep in mind this is only the first group to come out of XGALX there will be more groups/singers and artists to come from them in the future

The number of members is also governed by the fact of global reach, currently what international fans would accept as the maximum number of members is 7, perhaps thanks to BTS, but even Simon considered making a group of only 5 members, there are many factors. marketing, dance, etc. The best number to choose was odd like 9, 7, 5. We as Kpop fans can accept that there are up to 12 or more members, but for global fans that is a barrier. Thanks for the video, I'll be waiting for it for a long time. n.n

Kayla made a 1 Hour Chisa Fancam Compilation Video. [FANCAMS] - XG - CHISA - HITC LA, KCON LA, SXSW SYDNEY, NEW DNA SHOWCASE - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! kzbin.info/www/bejne/bHeWeGeJqMiahbs Chisa and Hinata being close since the beginning doesn't surprise me as they are the oldest 2 members of XG.

Simon Jakops is such a great CEO and Producer. XG looks up to him and feels like he's more a father figure or older brother than their Boss, but they still respect him greatly. Xtra Xtra EP 5 and 6 are my favorite Episodes.

Officially as XG? I don't think they've performed at Tokyo Dome, yet. They've performed at Tokyo Girls Collection at Saitama Super Arena and also their Showcase at Pia Arena MM. Could be wrong though.

People raised questions about a situation where a Japanese group, debuting from a purely Japanese company, appeared on South Korean music shows and sang in English. Meanwhile, the Japanese company seemed to look down on Korea, attempting to appropriate K-POP, causing controversy. Additionally, there was a debate about whether XG falls into the category of K-POP or J-POP. As the controversy escalated, a Korean KZbinr conducted an interview with XG. In the interview, when asked about their genre, XG responded with "X-POP," a genre unfamiliar to anyone. Creating a new genre requires significant influence, but XG, being a completely new group, lacked originality in songwriting, music videos, and choreography-all produced by Korean staff. The speculation is that the CEO of the Japanese company, who is perceived as hostile towards Korea, strategically distanced XG from K-POP while promoting it as such on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Moreover, XG is set to appear in prominent K-POP events like KCON 2023 JAPAN and M2's X-Show. In contrast, idols from JO1 and INI, associated with the Japanese company Laforne, which collaborated with CJ's Produce Japan series, openly acknowledge their foundation in K-POP. However, they express a desire to grow as global idols with their unique identity, highlighting a significant difference from XG

‼️just wanna say, in case ppl get the wrong idea: this has been debunked, kind of. the ceo who said those was ex-ceo for avex. even tho xgalx is under avex, xg is still with xgalx meaning that the views and goals of xg are aligned with xgalx only and not necessarily with avex too. just like how the views of the yg ceo doesn't necessarily apply to theblacklabel and teddy or theblacklabel's artists. and also some people also said that the statement that circulated was also exaggerated and kind of strayed from what the avex ex-ceo originally meant. moreover, xgalx ceo simon/jakops is half-korean and half-japanese. he is proud to be both, you can always tell that with him. he has no ill feelings towards korea or koreans, his producer name alone is proof: JAKOPS = JApanese KOrean Produced by Simon/JApanese KOrean Producer Simon. even with the girls, they're very interested in learning korean culture. they're even kinda good now with speaking korean. they love kpop too. in one of their side vlogs/content, they learned and studied about korean culture too.

In response to growing controversies, XG's producer, Jacobs, issued a clarification statement on January 31, 2023. The main content mostly involved denying or obscuring the points of contention. For instance, Jacobs stated in the clarification that, "I am not consciously considering any specific role models or competitors, and the recent rumors about using specific third-party branding for publicity and strategy are also untrue, and I would like to correct this." However, during fan meetings with Korean fans, he claimed there were no role models, while in interviews with foreign media, he mentioned many overseas artists as role models. Additionally, regarding the controversy about using YG Entertainment for publicity, Jacobs only denied it without providing specific explanations on how international articles were published or why a video of XG practicing at YG Entertainment's practice room was uploaded on the official channel before debut. Overall, the clarification was filled with vague points and evasive language, avoiding sensitive issues such as the A&R group chairman's hate speech, hiding the fact that some members are of Korean descent unlike the Australian members, and deliberately distancing themselves from Korean music. The main reason K-POP fans are angry about XG's business and promotional strategies is due to the A&R group chairman's hate speech, allegations of sexual harassment, and the unethical use of YG Entertainment for promotion. However, in the clarification statement, XG's producer tried to obscure the main points by suggesting that Korean fans are angry because XG is not choosing Korean artists as role models and not singing in Korean. This has led foreign fans to unfairly portray Koreans as discriminatory and damage the country's image

On the contrary, XG has, in fact, extensively produced music content and media in Korean. Even as of today, there is a reality show by XG, syndicated by MNET via M2, called "X or Go" as well as its previous show on the same Korean platform, "XG 3 Meals A Day" and it's in Korean. The "controversies" surrounding XG are just plainly outdated due to XG's growing popularity within the K-Pop industry. Not many care about it that much now, in my opinion. Fans care about the group and their message, not whatever some "suit and tie" said. They live in S. Korea, speak the language, respect the culture, and they love their fans, regardless of wherever they're from. At the end of day, it just boils down to how genuine and good the music is. XG has not only established a global fanbase, but a Korean fanbase as well. They've even established camaraderie with other K-Pop groups also, such as AESPA. In my opinion, XG will continue to be a force in the girl group space....X-Pop, K-Pop or whatever Pop.

That controversy surrounding the 'former' CEO has been put to rest a long time ago -- and it's being used to defame XG, XGALX and Simon. But despite of that XG's growing fame has always been because of their insane talent, their charisma and their love for the fans. I think most Korean fans, wouldn't care that much anymore about the hubba-hubba about the 'controversies' that surrounds them - they care about how good the girls are at performing and how they interact with the fans. XG has fully embraced Korea as their second home, they speak the language - they love the food, they respect the culture and values. Everyone in the entertainment industry will always get flak for whatever reason there is, and that's the sad truth. But XG's fortitude and willpower has always been their great strength, and they are a force to be reckoned when it comes to talent so there's that.

"This has led foreign fans to unfairly portray Koreans as discriminatory and damage the country's image." This is because we see posts like these and or even posts that criticize XG because they are Japanese. Then we see them being left out of stuff despite their immense talent, charisma, and love for their fans. It's only natural that we would then see Koreans as discriminatory or even racist.

"This has led foreign fans to unfairly portray Koreans as discriminatory and damage the country's image." Simple fix to that is to stop criticizing them and blocking them at every turn. Accept that they love and respect Japan, Korea, USA, Australia, and other countries. Allow them to do what they do best which is to put on great shows, make great music, dance, and make great content.
