Besides the amazing skills & vocals the girls have, the chill u 're feeling when u hear the howling can be explained scientifically actually: the howling of wolves or the roar of a large predator (such as a tiger or a lion), makes us have an involuntary reaction of fear and tension: we get goosebumps, we feel shivers down our spine, we develop a instant state of alertness to an impeding & unseen danger... It is an involuntary response of the body, a complex defense mechanism that, since ancient times, our ancestors had, as an immediate response to an external danger that threatened their very survival. We could say that it is a reaction deeply rooted in our DNA as a species. And Simon & the girls were very, very smart to use that as a chorus, to make us react in a certain way & to make this song quite unforgettable...
