When you guys are watching these videos and gendered topics come up, keep in mind East Asian dating culture is pretty different. Feminism is literally seen as a "dirty word" in Korea and men get VERY upset when women say they're feminist and want equality. The pay gap for men/women, especially in Japan, is even more extreme than in the West. I mean it's changing slowly but culturally, the men there largely prefer dependent women who act cutesy and child-like, and dating a woman just means you open your wallet, that's the expectation their societies set. I was like that when I first heard that chorus chant. For some people the first time you hear it, it sounds weird. It's because someone or 2 is purposely out of key.
