@Grandyboy179 жыл бұрын
I completely agree with you. I'm only watching this because PJ's skating is such a rare commodity.
@theren83118 жыл бұрын
TyeIV TyeIV 1. That crowd is there because they wanted to be there. 2. How do you know they don't skate? Because they don't have a board in their hand? 3. You clearly don't know the rules to offensive tricks as it relates to pivots and toe drags. I suggest watching battle at the berrics. They read out the rules every game, and this comp follows those same rules.
@hateatchee75087 жыл бұрын
1. I cant say anything about if the crowd wants to be there or not, but they sure are quiet. 2. though we don't know for sure, they are calling out the wrong trick names so it can be safely assumed that their interest in skateboarding is less than those who know the correct trick names. 3. in battle at the berrics, it clearly states in the rules that everything will be ultimately decided by the referee. Some refs let the sketch slide, others like their games cleaner than your teeth after a trip to teh dentist.

everyone can see that. yet there's more to skateboarding. this whole event is as far away from a relaxed session as can be, so it's in a skater's blood to not give a shit about that crap and have some fun, while xgames has them parade around like a bunch of circus elephants.
@RickR228 жыл бұрын
true... but hey at the end of the day it becomes a job and not just your normal "relaxed session" as they skating to represent themselves (become more famous) more fame means more money and also repping their sponsors. You all remember the és games of skate from the early 2000's when the crowd was full of sweaty skaters up to the contenders ballsack, where the contest was so loud everybody's vx footage was clipping, and the crowds oohs, and oh's would ebb back and forth with the quick rhymtic progression of the game? Where you didn't get two tries on the last trick, were bound to get a shinner if someone slipped out, and where you could hoist your favorite pros up when they fell off the sidelines because they were the people you admired, not corporate brand ambassadors. Not even the berrics, as good as their coverage is, can capture that feeling. it used to be a real underground fight club.
