That was a great comp I really wanted ryan to win and when Kelvin hit that after the buzzer I originally said I didn't want it to count but I'm glad it did they should have a last banger rule where if you're on the way to the obstacle even just running to put the board down it should count in the line they shouldn't have to rush for the last trick when it's usually the make or break trick of the run the judging was perfect the riders killed it and thr announcers kept you right in it all great broadcast xgames

Love Yuto but would love to see him get pentalized for doing so many nollie cabs. And other guys should get pentalized for doing so many kickflips. We should see more nollie flips, heel flips. Remember when everyone would throw big flips? Also I’m talking straight kickflip if ur doing it with a 180 or fakie. Diff trick But so often I see someone whip out the kickflip/treflip cuz it’s consistent and every T. I wanna see someone try to bust out a inward heel. Look at how many people just kick flipped down the drop. Or in elimination kickflip crook. Don’t see flip out much anymore from everyone. Or big spin back tails or other way around. Actually on 3rd run the one time yuto tried to spin or flip his board he missed. Not even tryna be a Yuto hater cuz obv he’s so gnarly and gifted but he’s had the same contest run for how long now? Also homie grew up skating vert HE GOT NOLLIE TRICKS. He learned vert in the nollie pop into stuff era. He has like nollie 540s on vert 🤯 but he never really shows his transition skills in runs like Jager
@sk8_bort

The best run wins in this format, so of course the skaters are going to prioritize consistency. If you miss a single trick, you have no chance of winning the competition. Why would they throw around weird tricks or flip outs?
@sh666nks
@sh666nks 11 ай бұрын
@@sk8_bort contest skating is also a viewer sport. If every single contest each contestor does the same run they've always been doing to win. People are going to stop watching. Yuto has a BAG OF TRICKS he can do more than just nollie cab variations. And these are professional skaters and best of the best. They can do flip outs. Not saying they gotta do weird tricks they can do DIFFERENT TRICKS. If a homie at my park can do a flip out, have a 9-5, and not be a sponsored skater. Judges should kinda make these guys get out of their comfort zone. Ribeiro can crook nollie flip out every try. Maybe he shouldn't score as good on that trick if it's the trick he does in every contest in every run. What's the point of watching the next event when I'm going to see the same lines, same skaters, doing same tricks.

Yuto is sick as f… But… I’m getting really tired of the soft juding handing him the victory for the exact same tricks every time for years. He can always expect a win if he pulls out the nollie bs 360 lip and all the nollie bs variations that he has on lock. At least this time we saw him flip his board on two tiny gaps in the beginning of his run… I will say though that the bs sugarcane was a welcome, awesome addition.

@@timoshiigarushia Sora Shirai is the only one who does tricks as hard as Yuto. Problem is he isn't as consistent as Yuto. Sora when he's on can beat YUto though.

@@timoshiigarushiaThis. I don’t disagree with original comment, Yuto does do a lot of the same things but idk if these people understand the difficulty involved and why pretty much no one else is doing them

If yuto does the same tricks and wins, I would do the same tricks as yuto to be able to compete at his level. There is a reason why other skaters are not even trying them, they are so difficult.

Nyjah's second run in my opinion isn't better than Hoefler's First Run. I'd put the ranks as potentially Hoefler in First, Decenzo Second, Horigome Third for the second runs. Hoefler's run was siick.

Congrats to all the skaters and the podium! Shame to see Hoefler in 2nd place, deserves better!! Not to despise Yuto at all, 1st place well deserved, but Hoefler's first run was low scored and second could have ben better too. Shame last trick was right after the buzzer.
