I was sponsored for a time..until i got black listed..srry mr hawk..i see alot of people talking like this is easy..no, they just make it look that easy. I cant believe how consistent they are and this sport progressed. When i skated people skated 7.5 to 7.75 these guys are doing the craziest stuff on stuff that are like 8s..man i had to have a 7.5 with grind kings to even get my pop that got me sponsored idk how these guys do it

Its time to adjust the standarts, i think skateboard has turn something more modern in these days, just like surf. Aerials are no more the same highscore as it was in early days. I think after Nyjah and Luan era the skate tricks are so much more about flip things, we must change how the judges score

Yo, on a serious note, if you ain’t on a board in SLS you should not be talking about what is and is not a 9 club standard lol. These athletes deserve respect and recognition for every 9 club that is written in the history books. This is a mixture of street skating and best trick. In any competitive sport you look not only to wow the crowd but also are mindful of points, if you not only want the crown but a ticket to the Olympics. Tech tricks are super difficult to do consistently, yes an average skater who skates often can hit a rail but not consistently enough to create capital from it year in and year out for themselves and sponsorships. These young men have been skating for more than 10- 15yrs+ on a competitive level. We are now witnessing now more than ever skateboarding is a real sport and skateboarders are being respected as true athletes.
