This looks pretty good! I still use my Panasonic AE8000 1080P Projector for movie nights. I did a custom build many years ago in my lounge and still runs great! Think it’s about time I upgraded to a 4k unit though 😅. Cheers for the review the picture on this looks very good, I’m assuming for the price point it’s 4k pixel shifted? Can’t say I have heard of this brand of projectors. What lumen is it pushing out? Curious to know if they do a longer throw version with lens shift🤔

Wow these short throw projectors are really getting technologically advanced. The image is amazing and rivals some televisions. Having a backlit remote is a must for this. There are some features that it lacks, but if you want the latest features for gaming, then it can't replace your TV monitor. Aura 2

With msrp $2.7k I'd rather add a bit more and get the new Hisense px3, at least on paper that's looks like more value - brightness, contrast, color vise, 4k 120 and so on. Anyway I'd suggest to wait until the new 2024 shootout for ust, before one make any decision.

@@br1ella129 the hisense px3 (and pro) do not support projecting 2160p@120Hz they "just" can project 2160p@60Hz. From my point of view its misleading advertising because they can project 2160p and they can project 120Hz, just not at the time in this combination... But they support to process internally an incoming signal of 2160p@120Hz. Based on the information I found online, they seem to support projecting 1440p at 120Hz and even 240Hz.

Is this a 100-inch screen? Could you please tell me at what distance from the screen you watch movies and play games to get the most immersive and comfortable experience? My distance from the viewer to the screen is about 2.5-3 meters (depending on the position of the sofa and seating position). What size would you recommend: 100 inches or 110 inches? The use case is watching movies and playing games on a PS5, my projector is The Premiere SP-LSP9T. I’m wondering if a 110-inch screen might be too large for a distance of 2.5 meters?

Given a choice personally I'd go for the Aura 2 the colours looks better and design wise it looked great. For me the only let down was that Netflix wasn't natively supported.

@@GeekStreet of course he is going to say Auro because he makes money when you click the link. The AWOL 3000 prp has better image quality, hdr 10+, active 3D, 8ms for gaming, true RGB lasers and doesn’t look like a sponge.

What about the dreaded RBE (rainbow effect)? Also, why are UST projector manufacturers still using the smaller and outdated 0.47 DMD chip and not the larger 0.65 chip, which provides better contrast and is more reliable?

Never ever use keystone correction unless it's optical, which this isn't. Leave the keystone controls alone and maneuver the projector around physically until it hits the screen perfectly. It's a bit more fiddly but you're not wasting pixels on distorting the image to fit where you haphazardly placed the projector, and you're not seeing overshoot - even the best projectors can't block light entirely. With keystone, you're liable to put light further out around the screen which hits the wall behind and looks ghastly. So... no keystone. Unless the projector has optical adjustments which no UST has. You even provide an example, 6.30 in - that trapezoid of light you see on the left side in the dark room is exactly that, unless I'm mistaken the projector is wildly off in placement and you seem to have abused keystone to the hilt to square up the image anyway. Do NOT use digital keystone unless you're desperate for some reason.

I prefer projectors over TVs because they eliminate the big, black screen dominating the room when not in use. While it’s clear that OLED TVs offer superior picture quality, there’s something uniquely appealing about the grain and texture of a projected image that I find more immersive.
