I am from Australia, I bought mine new in 1995 from the showroom, $1000 less than retail. It has travelled 31,000 km's (19,260 miles). It became my daily commuter as I live in Sydney with very heavy traffic. Around 4000 km's (2,500 miles) has been off road fun and games. I nearly killed my self once, a 6 inch tree stopped the bike and me going over a 80 metre (260 Ft) cliff in the Blue Mountains. Since 2005, it has been sitting in my garage doing nothing. I am currently restoring it. I am finding parts are extremely hard to purchase here, even off the net. The engine is still in excellent condition. I have been told the engine should have been rebuilt at least once. I still love this bike, I will never get rid of it. Cheers...

I've had my 1996 dt200r since 2015 and love it. I would never sell it. It came with a full tuned pipe. Loud, but adds lots of pep.

Engine parts will be available from gpx moto . Engine is in their new tse 250 . Race tech emulator is fgv4101 . I still have a set right here in front of me , They fitted dt200r and CBR400RR . I was cheap and put on in each leg of both and kept the other set . The emulators make a huge difference on that bike . My first one was that colour as well . Great bikes

Really similar to my DT 125 R from 1989, even has the same color scheme. The previous owner bike went over on the left side as well!

Nice bike :). I have a pair of them myself. Swing arm damage is caused by rear foot peg mounts being bent inwards, very common, can happen on either side. Enjoy. Q: One of mine has same silencer, but no sticker. I’d like to find another. What is brand?
@xhumeka5 жыл бұрын
cheers mate - thanks for the info! The pipe sticker says "FMF Powercore"... looks very similar if not identical to this: fortnine.ca/en/fmf-racing-powercore-silencer-020223

What is the fork diameter for the dt200 that goes into the triples?
@Hawklordz4 жыл бұрын
Did you get a swing arm sorted? Was in Ontario last year for my holiday, I actually wanted to hire a bike for a week, but it proved impossible. Ended up with a Dodge Charger. 🤯Had one of these circa 10 years ago. Loved it. Got a Wr200 now, but...just seen one advertised last night and I’m thinking what I could sell.

How much you paid for it brother? I am asking because I found one with same your motorcycle condition ….the left side of tank, swing arm has some damage , the radiator shroud has a crack…I am wondering how much I should offer!!…….Also …were you able to solve your DT handlebar problem ?( as you mentioned in your video)

This was almost 5 years ago, and I paid $3500 Canadian I believe. Never did change the handlebars, they weren't as bad as I feared. Good luck with your purchase, it's a nice bike!!
