《熊野古道》大雲取越は「牛鬼の滝」に寄り道して良かった🏃😉🏞️

今日は熊野古道2日目、紀伊勝浦駅すぐのホテルを6:30過ぎに出てバスで那智山バス停まで上がり、そこから大雲取越に向かいました🚍 しばらくは石の階段が続きました。最初のピークは舟見茶屋跡辺りで866mほど、その後はアップダウンしながら進み、最後の越前峠(870m)を超えたら後は小口(65m)まで800m下るって感じです⛰️ 越前峠〜小口の下りは何だかんだキツかったです。結構長く感じました😅 途中の地蔵茶屋休憩所で「牛鬼の滝」というのがあると知って寄り道しましたが 結果的に行ってよかったです🕺 お勧めです😉 それと所々に茶屋跡があったりして、もしかしたら野宿できるかもなんて思ってしまいました😅 明日は小雲取越で本宮大社へ行きます🙋
Today is the second day of the Kumano Kodo. After 6:30, I took a bus from a hotel near Kii Katsu-ura Station to the Nachisan bus stop and headed for Ogumo-torigoe. The first peak is 866m around Funami Chaya Ruins, and after that it goes up and down, and after passing the last Echizen Pass (870m), it is going down 800m to Koguchi (65m). At the Jizo Chaya rest area on the way, I knew that there was "Ushioni Falls" and took a detour. As a result, I'm glad I went. Also, there were ruins of teahouses here and there, and I wondered if I could camp out. Tomorrow I will go to Hongu Taisha by Kogumo-torigoe.

Is that a slide for people at 9:03? The stone steps in places look ancient - are they an old Pilgrims path? Nice waterfall at 36:06 & very interesting walk 👍😊

Yes, the slide for people. Abuot the path, this was a Pilgrims path to the Kumano Hongu Shrine. From Wikipedia, ”The Kumano Kodō has been used for more than 1,000 years for the purpose of Kumano worship, which flourished as the largest sacred site in Japan during the Middle Ages.” 😉 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kumano_Kod%C5%8D

お疲れ様でした！ ６月上旬に大雲取越、小雲取越を一泊二日で歩く予定です。 そんなに長くなければ立ち寄ってみたいのですが、地蔵茶屋跡の休憩所から牛鬼の滝迄は所要時間どれくらいでしたか❓ 是非参考にさせてください。

林道（舗装路）で400mです。5分くらいで着きます。あっ、もう着いた！って感じでした。
