Weight is also a factor on how many Ma/watts you can push through it. Im 270lbs (122kg) and if I go any higher than 27000 it'll overheat on long rides... any lower and it won't go over 18mph. So for me 27000ma=21-22mph with no overheats. Im also in south Florida and its really hot outside during the day. If your really light weight you can push more power without it overheating. Just experiment and pay closer attention to your temps. If it gets hot stop immediately

Great video very informative expecially for me who just got my xiaomi pro m365 about 4 weeks ago and I know nothing about firmware zip files it's all foreign to me I only use 5% of my phone don't know how to use the other 95% my phone is old model but it works for me. Hi David. 3 different people tested the firmware with m365 pro. Cruise control is really totally unusable at this moment and frustrating (Alternative throttle control algorithm : - "speed control & speed cruise" throttle mode, "cruise on" delay is set to 3 seconds). 1 of every 7 attempts to set the cruise to on is successful. There is a beep, always, this works normally, but after you start releasing the throttle lever, the m365 pro slows down. Cruise control setting is a matter of luck as for now. David, please contact the developer to do something about this problem as it derails this awesome, unique, amazing firmware project. After the beep signal telling us the cruise is on, it must be possible to release the throttle fast, slow, after 1 second or immediately, without disengaging the cruise mode. Cruise on should not be cancelled that easily, immediately after setting it to on. Thanks.

Okay, for those people with “0200 fmw stuck on DownG” issue. I had that issue and it looks like you have to flash your Pro twice (to make it work / spin) with this new Xiaogen. After that reverting to 1.5.5 appears to be working. I did it today. Back on 1.5.5 Gonka. (35km/h max). 👍 Xiaogen was okay but too confusing for me (kers on brake lever, cruise on max, not on max....).

Normally, if you get stuck in DRV 200 is because the serial number was incorrect or didn't flash it twice, or both

Hello David, super duper the video and thank you for this. I really appreciate the effort behind this. I have a M365 classic. I just installed a CFW on the scooter after i downgraded to BLE 072. I would love to try this XiaoGen but i am scared of all the settings. Also the way is presented now is more like it was made for M365 PRO. We, the owners of M365 classic do not have 3 modes - S / D / E and this is why i will not try this for the moment. Maybe the developers would be nice and make a dedicated page for M365 classic and no options for PRO visible.

This is a great video ty so much! I just ordered a m365 classic for my wife and modding it like heck, of course (more for me I guess haha). The scooter and all the parts are on its way. The only thing I needed to do now is figure out cfw so this is so great! You mentioned in the video the values for max current and warned that they should be lower for m365 classic, however, I will be adding external battery pack to increase range. Do I still need to lower the values? Should values be lowered because m365 has smaller 250w motor? Thank you!

Firmware for these scooters should always be FREE!!! there is a small group of people on a Facebook group that have been charging people $5 for firmware flash files. It's a scam. If someone tells you to give them money for scooter firmware it's a scam, don't pay them and find a better Facebook group that offers free help with flashing. Plenty of good&knowledgeable people in the Xiaomi scooter community that are more than willing to help you out absolutely free of charge

Dear David, first of all let me thank you for a detailed explanation for setting up a scooter. I have this scooter for a year now and I have made 3370km with it and so far I have not dared to hack it. Until a few days ago! I did almost everything as you showed and I noticed two things with the throttle. 1 My scooter is now accelerating sharply, as I press a switch. There is no smooth acceleration... I marked a smooth change quadratic power control at S & cruise, speed control at D/Eco ... 2 I can no longer switch off the cruise control with a single tap. I have to switch it off by pressing the brake. I know you have a lot of questions from people like me but please if you can give me some advice how to solve this ... Hello ..on mine the double TAP cruise activation IS ok only with quadratic or linear power . With standard speed throttle the double TAP do not Taken in account the default value (22 on my cfw)

Hi David, great video. I've tried 2.0.5 and noticed issues with the Cruise Control. Once it's activated I get a beep but it deactivates when you release the throttle. Looks like it's an error introduced in 2.0.5 as it worked fine in 2.0.4

Hello, I have by a Xiaomi Mi Electric Scooter Essential Lite would it be possible to use the generator to generat a cfw with the options I want and use it? Except it will warn for "possible wrong" firmware of course. I was thinking about this as a cfw "for" the Essential lite that a person have upload and show here on youtube on a Essential lite is for a m365 wich more or less the Essential lite is. I have used translation and have confirm my thoughts that it is more or less a go but need to do some steps to be on the safe side. But that is a different story.

this mod is great for the pro but the cruise control has a mind of its own. It never works when you want it to and it always engages when you dont want it to. Is there a way to ad it as it was on the m365 in the CFW (botox)? If you hold the throttle in one place for the set amount of seconds it engages. And without a beep. This feature is a necesity for me and i went back to CFW just because of this.

I uploaded the firmware to 3 different M365 Pro scooters. What I noticed is very hard to set cruise control when driving in any mode. I set throttle algo to speed control and cruise control. I succeed 1 time out of 6. I did not set double tap to cruise (dangerous. You cannot cancel cruise with any press of throttle), allow high power cruise. It seems the scooter needs very smooth ride and glue like stabilized throttle lever. Could this firmware be updated to offer some margin of speed lever movement? or... let peacefuly release the throttle lever once there is a beep and tempomat is about to start? This setting tempomat cruise is a trickery in the current state. I tried it all. flat ride, quick release of speed lever after signal or slow release of that level. It looks setting the cruise is like a game of luck. Can you contact developer to ask him to add some margin of speed lever movements. Tempomat should be enjoyable to engage and not game of luck and frusatration. Cheers

Please talk to the firmware developer: 1. More flexibility when beep is heard after cruise is just set to ON. The throttle should not instantly switch cruise off after beep. It should let me release the handle without disengaging cruise so easily. Because we hear beep. But the scoooter slows down when we release the handle. We even tried holding throttle with 2 fingers. The pointing finger and thumb, to make the lever more stable and not moving, but does not help much. There should be some tolerance for throttle lever after cruise is on so it does not immediately disengage the cruise mode. I had a ride with friend. He had his own m365 pro. We both tried different techniques to try to succeed with setting cruise after beep (we have 3 seconds to set cruise mode on). We both succeed 1 out of 5-6 tries. Beep....we think...fine...it is on. We release the handle....the scooter slows down. We tried on flat asphalt, downhill, uphill, on bumps. Cruise setting to on is like a gamble. Damn :)

Hey guys I just got my scooter and it’s the 365 Mijia Pro. I really want to unlock the top speed but I have the 1.6.8 Firmware, so I guess I need to downgrade to 1.5.5 and then enter the serial number and the speed. David, firmware download is not working somehow :( PS: Already 4 x m365 Pro are using the firmware. It is great how smooth the acceleration is but also how smooth return from free-ride to powered mode. It is like sailing with the wind :)

I experimented with different settings, deleted some firmware versions I liked and not stucked with too low power for Eco mode. By the way. These power settings for each mode always lower the real value by about 50W-90W. I set the ECO to be 400W and it peaks at 486-500W. Is this normal? David, I weight 94kg. I see that ECO 400W/D 800W/S 1075W settings work ideally for me. Tell firmware maker to make double tab as the cruise ON mode, but any press of throttle should release that auto-cruise mode. Currently only another double tap releases the cruise mode. Till this, the throttle is deaf to anything. This is a dangerous setting.

Hi all. Got m365 pro scooter. Just flashed BLE074_update2_PRO_normal.zip and XIAOGEN 2.0.5 fw all as per instructions. All works except when I choose option to show battery percentage when stopped display shows E3 error after flashing instead of battery charge? When flashed without battery option display shows speed as normal. Any ideas why? I got BMS 126 BLE 74 and DRV 205. Anyone had same issue? I Flashed back to BLE90 and now it shows battery % in white when stopped with no red spanner (this is because no digit colour change is avail with 090 get it ) BUT still no clue why it does not work when on BLE074 on my scooter? Few other people got same issue when browsing comments. Pls help. Thanks David.

Hi. It is fine what you're getting. It should be in red and with spanner. That shows remaining battery percentage. This is option Swap speed and charge output on the display enabled within your custom firmware creator. Don't want this to show? Just disable this option and also disable Add system parameter to the display or it will flash chosen parameter in red every several seconds.

Forget about the old data. If you have M365 Pro you can set it to Eco = 410W, Drive = 800W, Sport=1074W. Of course, at your own risk. I drive this way since 1 year.

In order to revert to 1.5.5, you need to have BLE 090, them flash DRV 1.5.5 with regular m365 downg app

Hi I'm having a issue with my escooter I just tried to go from original firmware 1.7.1 to xiaogen 2.00 or 2.05 not sure but it's says in downg that it's on BMS 126 and ble 125 and drv200 but there's no throttle now and nothing please help fix this mess it was working before and I just hope I haven't bricked it is don't understand because this is like my 5th time flashing the firmware for speed unlock normally not this long issues please help me community and pirate I know you all are wizz kids

before the flash of the new firmware you need to downgrade the ble to ble90

Have you flash it twice? Also, make sure you use the correct serial number when creating the firmware file

It is the correct serial no. I did not flash twice. I unistalled the xg app and re isntalled to re-flash (per your latest reply) and it won't work anymore. It just says "asking scooter version".

I had the same problem. BMS 126 BLE 090 DRV 200 !!! - should be 205 You have to flash it 2 times and everything will be OK.

I brought my M365 Pro, ready to flash and later read the comments. How great the risk is to brick the board and be forced to solder and write software straight to the chip to fix the scooter? They claimed they did all as described and it bricked the scooter. hmmmmm . I have pretty good firmware I cooked myself 1 year ago. I like one tap to change the mode and few other things. This looks like a super super nice update, but the risk... ?

Thousands of people have succeeded on doing this method. If you follow instructions, and use the correct ble and serial number there are no issues
