When I was stationed in Pensacola, FL, we had a Calamondin tree in our backyard. I used to make this fresh when they were in season. I also used it in cooking, especially pork dishes, and I even got used to eating them straight like an orange. They are really good.

Here in philippines, calamansi is like an all around fruit. You can use it to marinate meats, you make it juice, you can top it with different dishes, you can mix it for dipping sauce or you can mix it with gin or any alchoholic drink. Everyone herr loves calamansi especially kids

Squeeze one or two calamansi to a cup of iced tea... If you have cold, drink warm water with calamnsi juice... For condiments, squeeze a calamnsi to soysauce (add chili it u want spicy) best for meat, fried/steamed fish, siomai etc :)

To answer that dude's question whether people mix alcohol with calamansi, the answer is yes :) the town i used to live in, we had this drink called 147 which is gin, sprite and calamansi :) some people go hard core and just squeeze fresh calamnsi on their gin.. For the guy who asked "Do people mix alcohol with this?" Yes, most Filipinos drink it, but it's a mixture of Tang's Calamansi juice powder and Ginebra San Miguel's gin, though others use the Calamansi fruit. You should try it when you go to the Philippines.

I love HOT CALAMANSI JUICE as well, helps especially when I have cold :) it's a very good source of Vit. C and we also use it often with soy sauce as a sauce for our fried fish and other fried viand :)

Guyabano is actually available in other countries as well (Latin countries & others) AKA Guanabana fruit sold in some U.S.groceries for $10 for one lb, (1/2kilo) too expensive in the U.S. I Miss it!!! Filipino stores seling it here as frozen or spanish groceries sell some bottled concentrate.

It's actually mixed with gin Here in the Philippines, you can have your gin calamansi, gin pomelo and gin pineapple, it's actually taste good coz of the combo. 😊
