Sorry for hurting anyone here but I switched from Motorola to Xiaomi 12 pro, one thing I can definitely say...it's on par with the smoothness in UI, software experience is as good and ads free, yes you get 3 bloatware but, who doesn't give that infact Motorola also does....don't criticize anything by just people's comments, i saw your mistakes in the comment, I can really tell that, it's on par with oneui in smoothness, on per with camera performance with any flagship exist, I am a photographer, this thing gathers much more light than Samsung or apple and camera optimisation is good, you just need some tweaks and that's it🙂

It's an OmniVision sensor. People and HDR thing is Xiaomi exclusive. It's present on 13Pro as well. They can manage that via software tuning.

The Sony Xperia 1 V uses a unique 1/1.35 inch sensor with two-layer transistor pixels technology. Despite the smaller size of the sensor it takes better photos than the 1 inch'ers of Oppo and Vivo. The Xiaomi/Leica 1 incher is stronger in some and weaker in other aspects than the Sony. Better meaning the best (not the average) pictures with the best settings. This Xiaomi pro also uses that two-layer pixel technology. That technology seperates a pixel in two layers, above you have the photodiodes (converting light into very weak current) below the pixel transistor (which mostly amplies the curent (=information)). In the xiaomi 13 ultra (and all recent smartphones) a pxiel consists of a photodiode and a pixel transistor so if you split those in 2 layers you can have twice the light gathering capabilties for the same sensor size. On top you can make the amplifier part of the transistors much bigger (deeper) so that tinier differences can be processed. The technology is new, difficult to make and only Sony's LYTIA "LYT800" ( 1/1.43 inch 53MP) has it. The 3 other LYTIA's including the LYT9001 (1/0.98 50MP) are still using 1-layer (stacked cmos) sensors. Reviews of the 14 pro said that the new sensor is as good as the one used in the 13 pro/ultra, btw. ps: I think that the Xiaomi 14 pro (50MP 1/1.31 inch) uses the same sensor as the Sony Xperia 1 V (48 MP 1/1.35 inch) as they have the same pixel size.

Xiaomi always tries to bring phones with new processors 1st in china. That leads to less optimisation time. Again the overall temp of China is comparatively lower than that of India The phones are tuned for lower ambient temps, compared to that of India. That's why the Indian and global varient don't have that problem. I understood this, cuz poco f4 with indian miui for poco, keeps the phones temps under 41 degrees under heaviest of useage. But using the k40s China miui rom, this same phone gets upto 48 degrees hot during intensive use.

Lemme tell you the same goes for iPhones in this price segment or a lil bit higher we can get at least an Iphone 15 which is not even a comparison to Xiaomi 14 pro...
