Thats remarkable, plus Xiaomi 15 pro weighs 10g less than iPhone 16 pro max. If they added battery for that 10g as well, it would score even more. Plus last test was video recording, so it drains more, the extra time that Xiaomi got, it was forced to work at most powerful demanding test. And also during peak gaming, 8 elite is more stable & has more fps bcz it is given 5.5w in sustained performce whereas iPhone 16 pro max is allowed only 4.5w. of it too were allowed 5.5w, it would score even less. Chinese reviewers like Geekerwan & xiaobai, do more realistic tests & their tests show Xiaomi 15 pro having 20-25% more screen time.

Xiaomi is sneaky by using a placeholder instead of a viewfinder for most of the camera test, meaning that the display can run as low as 1Hz compared to rivals that will be around 60Hz. So that is misleading, although it would have still won, as it should with a 33% larger battery-very underwhelming. Samsung S24U continues to disappoint and those that bought that for so much must be wondering where it has all gone wrong for Samsung. It should be a lot closer to the iPhone as it has a larger battery. Pixel with a Samsung chip obviously was the worst-as expected. OnePlus was solid. All are great for average users and this is really for a technical analysis to compare optimisations and how they change over time, after updates.
