@@Vic-hl7wm экран был черным, не показывал картинку. Отходил шлейф главный, который с завода прижимается какой то силуминовой пластиной. Со временем из за температур это пластина деформировалась и контакт прерывался. По началу можно было чуть стукнуть, потом надо было просто подождать минут 5 пока прогреется, потом уже ничего не помогало. Пробовал сначала прижимать чем то но не сильно помогало. У него заказал стальную. Уже 3 года полет отличный.

@@akaANUNAKI понятно... в России нет мастерских такое исправить? у меня стекло внутри начало потеть от вэйпа, надо было разбирать и чистить... не одна мастерская не хотела за это браться в штатах, так как у них нет договоров с xiaome! А вообще, 5 лет проработал отлично.

По сути не обращался потому что официально никто сюда не вез проекторы такие и ожидать месяц чтобы сц сказал что ничего не могут сделать не стал. Просто погуглил, наткнулся на мою проблему и решил ее собственноручно. Дешевле и быстрее вышло. Разбирается довольно просто и деталей не много. На счёт запотевания не сталкивался. Там по сути поликарбонат и под ним линза. Разобрать и посмотреть где запотевает и протереть. Либо если поликарбонат отнести на полировку. Если линза боюсь это либо сложный разбор либо замена.

I had this same issue after some 1.5 years and the boot time for the projector was approx 4 minutes with vertical lines which will eventually disappear in 4 minutes when the projector warms up. I ordered the contact plate from Nikos & it reached India in 16 days. I just followed this video and the repair is quite straightforward, however its not very easy as well. The repair needs Philips head screw driver of various sizes, tweezers, and some plucktrums. There were few difficult places, but otherwise it can be done by anyone with some little experience with electronics. After replacement, the projector works as new and no vertical lines of what so ever. Once again thanks you Nikos...

Hi i have the 2020 version all working fine and i know there were improvements made like full color wheel and laser temperature monitoring so i think they would of checked out any issues 👍

Hi! My laser lanp suddenly stopper working today. Worked yesterday. Now there is no image, obviously, but there is sound. Projector is 1.5 years old. Is it the same repair procedure?

I suppose no. I had to replace the curved plate several months ago (successfully) and yesterday my lamp or laser died and now I’m more or less in your situation. In the next days I will dissemble it again and maybe I have more info. Please contact me if you resolve it.

@@gandolfo_, thanks for your reply. I managed to get to the bottom of this - it happens when there is no device plugged into HDMI1. And you have to plug it really hard - any slight cable movement will turn the lamp off. This is annoying of course, but since I don't touch those cables and don't haver any too small kids or animals playing with them - can live with the issue. Still bothers me though.

just use IPA to clean contacts and then remove the old heat sink compound and replace with new .

Thanks for the video, i read about it last night in a forum and wanted to see how complicated it is. It is quite a video, and of course difficult. I don't hsve that problem yet. But my projector when starting is really loud and I hate the sound of it. I thought that were the fans but I saw you changed yours and no differences so, there is not a simple way to reduce the noise from the projector at all, right?

I have the 88” Hisense lasertv and got white spots, replaced the dmd chip and now have white vertical lines on the right . The metal plate seems unwarned so not sure it’s that. Did you also get white lines and if so did you get your lasertv fixed and if so what was the solution please?

I discovered the problem with mine. It was the power cord. I wasn't using the original one provided with the projector, because of the Chinese plug pattern. I've changed the plug on the original cable and now I'm using it. The projector is now operating flawlessly.

Nice work. Quick question as I couldn't make out in the video but can you remember if the fans used standard fan headers? Probably not work the risk of opening it up but wondering if its viable to replace the fans with higher quality ones in an effort to reduce noise.

Τhe noise is not from the fans, i have replaced in mine the fans with silent fans, no difference. The noise is from the XPR module and from the phosphor color wheel.

i think i've read somewhere that some kind of 4k upscaling chip caused this. By disabling something in a menu that coil whine stopped. But i'm not sure where i've read that so i cant find it anymore

the high pitched noise is caused by the color wheel motor spinning at around 5000rpm this cannot be stopped they may be able to dampen the sound with later design upgrades

To everyone out there facing this problem with vertical lines - try to tap/move a bit main cable in the middle to see if it does not help with the problem (the one being lifted at 7:38 of this video). I have got the better part from Nikos last year, but eventually the problem reappeared. I did dis(assemble) this projector about 20x by now, and currently tapping cable is what fixes the problem for me, and making sure it is not pushed by anything when assembling back. looks like heatsink grease on the dmd chip....if its dried out could cause the overheating and warping issue.

Hi everyone, I have a Xiaomi Mi 4K Laser Projector 150" and I'm experiencing an issue where the projector only displays one color after a short time of use. When I first turn it on, the image appears normal with all colors working correctly. However, after a few minutes, the screen shifts to displaying only a single color (e.g., red, green, or blue) and the other colors disappear. Has anyone else experienced this issue? What could be causing it? I suspect it might be related to overheating, a failing laser, or some issue with the power supply. After 2 years of experience with it, I am not sure I would recommend it: the fans are pretty loud (to replace them, you need to fake the fan speed output), it's very hard to replace the xiaomi chinese android by a generic english android (consequence: some menu and content remain chinese), and finally this issue that seems to happen after 18months of use (the slow bootup or lines). But Picture size and precision is great.

Have you failed to mention if there is a screw underneath the product label in the centre (where the model number and serial numbers feature) purely because i have got to the stage where you disconnect the top and its met with extreme resistance in the middle part of the projector 😤 Many thanks in advance
