I've had similar problems after 2.5 years. Fimi support enabled the drone calibration option temporary and I was able to solve it. This option should be available for anyone

Lmao okay... So all it was, is exactly the same exact Calibration method used in the Fimi A3 when you go to calibrate the IMU. Funny how it's not natively unlocked or they might have done it because people mess with things they don't essentially need to 😂😂.. glad you were able to rectify such a simple issue iMO. Have fun, I can't wait for my 2020 model to hit my doorstep, I'm already anxious for it and it's not suppose to ship for a month if I remember correctly 🤔😥😢

Just sharing the fix as it is and the process I had to go through to get there. Wasn't a big deal and they responded same day with the request and the fix so I was happy after not being able to fly it. I think more people mess this up and cause them more customer service work possibly so that may be why they have it locked. Thanks

Did this with a brand new set of blades and the thing flys as good as ever. I had about 50 hours flight time on my old blades as well as careless storage of the drone I think they were getting bad, but with the new blades and doing this calibration I have fallen back in love with my fimi. There was a point there I thought for sure a motor was going bad or something it was flying so bad but it's all good now! thanks.

Great video and thanks for the info. I get an error code when I run IMU. My problem like you had. That is in maintenance mode I only have Drone body sensor, Gimbal sensor, and Flight log. I don't have System status code or Drone calibration.

Looks like the unlock that was given to you was a advance IMU calibration. It should be given to everyone in a newer update so people can do when needed.

Patrick Sutton The response time was rather quickly in the midst of the coronavirus there in China they still manage to respond within 24 hours and after just a few emails resolved the issue by activating this process for me within the app. I have not ordered the new version 2020 but was contacted by FIMI telling me that I am on the review list and that banggood would send me a review sample if I am among the chosen from the list.

Since an crash and replacement the front right motor arm I've the ultrasonic sensor make some noice sound. I wrote to Fimi, they can't help me because I open the drone by myself and drive this the drone is out of the warranty... damn

Ultra Sonic sensor is supposed to make a slight clicking noise, that just means it's working and in close proximity to a wall or hard reflective surface because what you're hearing are the sound waves as if it is a bat using echo location in a way, but if you have it over carpet in your house you'll most likely not hear it very much unlike over a hard or flat none dampening surface and hearing the reflection of sound back into and out of the sensor.

QC Guy! Hope all is well with you 😊 I have a hubsan drone the H501s, with one motor which is tilted slightly. All other motors are level. I don't think this is a good thing, will this be a problem?

Patrick O'Neill If you received it like this and it is flying perfectly fine leave it alone. During manufacturing sometimes they put spacers underneath the motors to give them a slight pitch to compensate body imperfections.

I bought A Fimi X8 Se 6 months ago. I hardly used it. Last time I used it was Christmas , then I stored it away until now. Today I I tried to use it, I push the start button for a time but nothings happens, the battery light stays on while I hold the button and then it turns off a second or two later. Hi Chris, good day! My name is Rey…Just new to your channel and newly subscribed. Very informative contents and very helpful information you have in your channel. I got the drone Fimi X8 SE 2022 V2…I had to test flight it for the 1st time, the a message came out saying “VPU Error”…but I ignored the message and press the auto take off…it goes up 10 ft and it flew sideways trying to control with the sticks but nothing happens until I hit a tree and broke my props…any advise to what should I do to which should I calibrate? I did the compass calibration before the test flight. Thanks for the advise.

Is this calibration available on your app? If so do it along with a compass calibration and see if that helps. First flights I recommend you do any calibration available in the app. Hope that helps 👍🏻

Hi QC guy, See if you can help me.... I have the drone since mid july 2020. Allways perfect. Very nice drone i must say. Since yesterday i am having a very SCARY situation. In the middle of the flight my screen goes black and FIMI RTH. This is happening a lot of times. Scary because i don´t know if it will return, and i have no control at all. under maintenance mode mine is missing as well. at the moment my issue is i cant take off. mine says GPS error, please restart drone. restarting dosent help. it also says unable to enter GPD mode, please be careful.

Hi Chris. I have the FIMI X8 SE Black Edition and it all works fine except that I lose the camera signal. I have all the latest firmware installed. It seems to occur when I switch from video to photo or go into the album. I have raised the issue with FIMI and sent on a screen recording of what happens. Basically the video signal stops, all the camera controls become unavailable and the camera parameters start flashing N/A as do the Camera firmware and Vision Firmware (in the firmware display screen). Any thoughts on what it may be? Thanks John
