Been running a solid tire only in the rear for a few days and the difference is speed/range seems to be only slight. The big difference is in the harshness of the ride. My feet were starting to hurt after a short period and now I try to only take the smoothest routes possible. Cutting the chance of a flat in half though might be worth it , since I got a flat only at 70km.
@valichesu3 жыл бұрын
I live in an area where I get pretty often flat tires on my M365. I followed your advice and mounted a solid tire only on the rear. The installation was not so difficult and I didn't boiled the tire or anything, I just applied some grease and used 3 big screwdrivers. I also noticed a slight discomfort on and the performance decrease (2 km/h less than with normal tires), but the range was not affected so much. After 1 year and 2 flats in one week I also changed the tire on the front with a solid tire. After this the ride became though, exactly as you've said. Now I bought a suspension fork, I hope that this will improve a little the ride comfort...
@michael43834 жыл бұрын
just installed the exact same solid tire on the rear and did a 20km test drive. 1. installation is easy if you have a bench vice - takes max 2-3 mins. 2. max speed is pretty much the same, i reached my full speed (32-33km/h) several times without noticing any difference in acceleration or max speed. 3. driving feels almost the same. its only a little bit harsher and i cant understand these reviews. i am 82kg and i got a flat rear tire after 200km. i haven´t done a range test yet, lets find out if it really performs that bad in comparison to the original tire.

Hey man, a question. I have been driving with solid honeycomb v2 ones for a while now and I just realized, there is a HOLE where tube went on the front tyre with a motor. Did you seal that stuff? Now I wonder about water and dust getting in. But pouring silycone in to seal it, seems dangerous as well.

If you have pneumatic tyre, use slime tyre selant. I got my first flat tire at 200km on my rear. In your experience, have you suffered more flats in the rear than in the front? Will you personally be using a solid rear/pneumatic front setup? I haven't ridden much, but am worried about getting stranded from a flat. Thanks for all your M365 vids
@DougHnut6 жыл бұрын
I had 5 flats in the 1500 km I have ridden. All in the rear tire. My usual commute is only 3 km each way. So in my situation, it is worth the risk getting a flat for the comfort. I'll be sticking to pneumatic front and back. Worst case if I get a flat 20+ km away from home, I'll take a bus back.
@jazz20206 жыл бұрын
I've had 4 flats in 3 months, only one was in the front. I've ordered the solid tire for the rear, and I hope it works, because I use the scooter to commute every day to work and it's not working with the amount of flat tires I'm getting...

I have the same for more then a month (mounted by myself), I share that there is a bit degradation in performance, but with time they get softer, Usually I ride 12 km in one direction with consumes about 50% of the batteries (because of the hills), then charge again in office and go back. So far I am overall satisfied, So far I manage to make about 1600-1700 km side question: I bough a new phone (Xiaomi A2) and now I am not able to connect to the scooter. Any advice how to resolve this will be appreciated.
@DougHnut6 жыл бұрын
If your old phone still works, you assume something is wrong with the Bluetooth in you Xiaomi a2. Other wise try the other m365 apps in the play store such as "m365 dashboard"
@lem00na6 жыл бұрын
thanks a lot for the hint, I installed the app and it connects and shows the info following the m365 search results I found another one called "m365 tools" that is a handy and finally I am able to that I have travelled actually 1755 kms another question: do you have idea what "Number of charges" and "Number of full changes" means? I have the same indicators on "m365 battery" if it is relevant is it EU version
@DougHnut6 жыл бұрын
Number full charges is how many full cycles your battery has gone through. So if you used up 3800 mah yesterday, charged the battery, then used 4000 mah today. That would equal one full charge cycle And number of charges is how many times you plugged in the charger.
@JohnnyFallwatch3 жыл бұрын
I´ve heard that it can damge the battery montage due to more vibrations on the internal structure, is that a thing? It´s the only thing stopping me from doing the swap, the streets over here are harsh AF, i have just used my scooter 2 times and both punctured my rear tyre
@willpine73433 жыл бұрын
The range seems counterintuitive, as the solid tire should have less rolling resistance than the pneumatic? Curious.
@thomasjohns135 жыл бұрын
Could the drop in range be down to a cheaper more ineffective motor when compared to the original?

Just installed one of these tires on the rear of my scooter after my second ride resulted in a flat. I have to say that I agree it adds ease of mind, but I haven't noticed any performance issues. Secondly, that tire was an absolute pain to install with two people. So I agree pre-mounted is the way to go.

Could you do a video on some "quality of life" improvements for the M365? I'm getting one soon, I'm getting the spacer for the neck and the tail light protector 3D printed, but what about a custom bottom battery protector? Thanks!
@DougHnut6 жыл бұрын
i have a 1000km review in my playlist. one more thing i could add is i suggest adding a 1/4in layer of foam between the battery and battery cover. this will add some extra support on the battery. i dont have access to getting a custom battery protector, but I've also haven't seen the need for it. unless you are planning to bash the scooter onto curbs or boulders.

Doug Hnut my only concern is if the battery cover is watertight. I tried to take mine off and add gasket maker to make it watertight, but the Allen keys might have been the wrong kind since it only seemed to strip the screw. Are they in metric Allen keys? Because I have an imperial set.
