Well the word 'proper' is a bit subjective but he's lucky enough to have a pretty flat area to ride, with hills that kinda range is not possible, also weight as he said makes a bit difference

Thank you! I can recommend ether M365 or the PRO they are both great. Sense I purchased my M365 scooter last year I saved so much money on car and gas not to mention time saving and parking especially in short drives to the store and back. Also it's so nice and fun to drive it around the town and on bike paths.

At around 1:00 he says there are no issues after his and his wifes "long term" usage. I suppose if the battery was of a low quality and declined noticably within a year of moderate usage, this would be an issue. It would be great to see an actual test of course though :)

Thanks. Nope, I did not have any problems with battery or any noticeable capacity loss on my scooter. M365 Battery are rated for 500 life cycles with 70% capacity remained. That's a very long time :) Assuming that you get around 20km range we talk about 10.000km :)

I have completed 2800km on my standard M365, The only issues I faced was with the battery terminals and hook. Overall it wonderful piece of engineering.

An excellent review. I bought the Pro version two weeks ago, and I'm well happy with it, I've only recharged it once so far, as I only use it to go back and forth to work about 4-5k per day. It only took 5 hours to fully charge, but that was when it was at 20-30% [it was flashing on 30% when I recharged it] so it could well be longer if the battery was at a more reduced power level. I use it mainly on Eco mode when going back and forth to work as it's on fairly level terrain, so there was no real need to boost the power to maintain my speed. However, I've tried it on all three settings and the fastest I've been is on the Sport mode and I got 25kph out of it on a long straight level footpath. I didn't know about the cruise control though so I'm installing the app on my mobile phone so I can use it, [a nice and handy tip that I found out online] as it saves having to keep your thumb on the accelerator key and I like the handy info with regards to the scooter to have on screen via the app as well.

They tend to fall under a "bicycle" category, but they really aren't bicycles. They aren't mopeds either. So they fall into this grey zone in the middle.

Because, if you think about this, you can get hurt on anything, in a car, on a bicycle, on a motorcycle, walking... Personally I think it's rental companies that are to blame. Anyone can ride one, for little money, even if they have no clue what they are doing. And they get hurt. I rode through winter, in minus degrees, in sludge and snow, in snowstorms - and never even once had an accident.
