Both phones don't have 1P68 ratings. Only the MI 11 ULTRA is IP68 certified. It also has a Ceramic Back not glass.

I used both the S21 Ultra (bought it at launch) and now switched to the Mi 11 Ultra. Can say that i'm way more satisfied with it. The camera and battery seem to be better, it has faster charging and I also just like the way it looks better. The S21U was a huge letdown for me and I didn't really recommend it to anyone. That might be because I live in the Exynos area tho.

@@YLelika I had the Exynos 2100 S21 Ultra and the battery life was not as good as on the Mi 11 ultra. Tho keep in mind I'm using both phones on FullHD+ and not QHD and on 120hz. I get around 7h SOT with the Mi11U and had 5.5 to 6h on the S21U. Plus the 67W charging on the Mi is a game changer.

You glossed over the main sensor which is arguably the main selling point of this phone. Yes a good ultra wide and telephoto are good to have but the main sensor is the one that is special on this phone. It’s massive compared to just about every other phone on the market which makes for amazingly well lit photos, especially when in less than optimal lighting conditions. I’m pretty tempted to buy it but I’m nervous because the last time I tried to switch back to android from iOS with the Note 20 Ultra, I just couldn’t get over how bad the software was. MiUI looks like it’s pretty good although I still have some questions. Does the calendar app sync with outlook/exchange? When you set a headphone volume limit, does it annoy you with warnings every time you turn the volume up to max? Does the default photos app sync with OneDrive or does it force you to use xiaomi’s services? Does it show music and volume controls on the Lock Screen when listening to music or do you have to unlock the phone and navigate to the music app? Did you experience any glitches or bugs with miui and how long do they guarantee software and security updates? Cheers

Superb video content as always 👌 I was kinda surprised that you actually prefer the miui software over one ui, as I've seen alot of KZbinrs preferring one ui instead. But then again, it all comes down to personal preference. I'm also getting to love miui software, as I can't help but notice Xiaomi's effort on trying to improve on the user experience with different iterations being released.

I disagree about your thoughts on the bump. The bump is actually awesome, because it's not symmetrical. And I love symmetry. And that little screen, it's actually functional, it lets you keep your notifications private by not having to turn your phone over in a public setting - you can check the time and know that you have notifications waiting without actually having to turn it over, which is great.

This phone isn't marketed for the US market unfortunately, it's $1400 on avg which is stupid expensive. The two best phones right now are the 21 Ultra and the upcoming Pixel 6 pro

Nobody will accept a Chinese phone for trade in. Btw I have a OnePlus 7 pro. What I want more than anything is a 10x optical zoom and higher brightness. Along with better battery life. 120hz would be great too.

I bought the Mi 11 Ultra when it was first released, to replace my OnePlus 7 Pro. However I ended up selling it and going back to the OnePlus 7 Pro, for now anyway. I just couldn't stand the software on it at all. I won't be buying any other Xiaomi phones in the future. I'm now waiting to see to see what the Google Pixel 6 Pro will be like.

Having used it since 9th May, I don't see it as a tough sell. The software is miles better for content creation than what Samsung offers, the camera hardware is better (wider UW, bigger Primary, etc) it has double the base storage (or is priced the same for the 256GB S21), has faster charging and proper amenities in the box. This is only a tough sell for those that either don't know Xiaomi or shouldn't really be buying £1200 phones. I adore this thing.

I have the Mi 11 Ultra, Global one, and I can assure the Battery life is not that great at all. My wife's iPhone 12 sometimes gets through 2 days straight after a full charge but my phone never makes it more than a day. I have to keep the screen at Full HD and 120 hz, just to get a day of good usage. Plus the buttons are also quite stiff and small, very hard to press and find as well. Apart from these issues there are two other issues as well, Firstly, volume level varies in different applications and games, for eg the sound out on maximum level isn't good at all in COD, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar, but it's great on KZbin and Netflix. Second and an important issue is there is color shift happening when the screen is set at 120 hz, when quickly swiping from one application to another, the colors on screen get light shaded and then suddenly shift to the original shade - It is mainly noticeable in the low brightness settings. Please do check on your Mi 11 ultra, if you too find these issues I've noticed on mine.

It is a tough sell if you are not worried about buying the best. It is subjective, but the Mi11 Ultra is the best flagship phone of 2021 so far? The reason it is expensive is that it is selling well and there is no reason to lower the price yet (Amazon sold out in the UK). The S21U is cheaper as it is selling poorly and has Exynos that many of us have once bitten and are now twice shy! I def would not buy the S21U over this to save money, and this is in my shortlist depending on how good the Pixel 6 Pro is? Sometimes it is worth the at £300-400 extra to get the better phone although I do agree the Mi 11 is not a bad second choice though again, few discounts due to sustained demand.

Have my 11Ultra now about a month, coming from Samsung Note 10+. I love the main camera: it really produces almost DSLR like images, not kidding! The instance bokeh is crazy and the night photos are damn good. MIUI is a trainwreck imho with settings all over the place. Also this is heavy! Uncomfortably so even. One handed use for longer than a minute is impossible! Other that I do like it but I think my next phone will probably be a Samsung again...

So yes it works, but integration is definitely not as good! Also use it with the Galaxy buds: works too, but that's because you can use the app for it...

I am wondering why you liked MIUI than One UI. The HAPTICS are good but the HAPTICs options on MIUI is crap. Cannot set it to have lower intensity while call or notification. mi11 ultra is first 400$cheaper in india exact at the price of oneplus 9pro and the s21ultra has exynos. also many sweaty gaming reviews shows that mi11ultra performs superior than 9rp and s21ultra(even 888version) and its ceramic back panel which looks good i am not in my 40s to like muted backs. also many asia channels camera reviews shows that its toe to toe with s21ultra beating 12pro , 9pro so if its cheaper than other phones in ur country its the way to go. also the miui does not buggs out here as its does in cheaper mi phones
