Thank you, this helped me open and re-secure a disconnected battery cable. This thing has survived enough drops to knock it out of place, solid phone after 2 years and 30+ drops. Was able to use a high temp hair dryer instead and an old giftcard to peel it open. For those asking, the adhesive is reusable just reheat it and make sure your fingers dont handle the lid much.

Great video, I was able to replace the battery on my Xiaomi phone. The most difficult thing was to remove the backcover. I used my Philips hairdryer to soften the glue but once the backcover was really hot to touch, I managed to put my phone prying tool through the glue and detach the backcover. If you guys facing the dead phone/not turning on issue after putting the new battery, press and hold the power button while plugging the usb charger. After that do a force reboot in order to boot into Android. I don't know why it happened, the battery was charged to 35% but maybe the BMS only activates after getting a bit of power from USB port.

Xiaomi Mi 9t and Mi 9t pro, have the same battery? There are versions BP41 for 9t and BP40 for 9t pro. Are these batteries different?

Try getting it from iFixit. They have replacement batteries which are as good as the original ones. Had one in my Redmi Note 5 and Galaxy S9+ and in both cases the battery life was the same and the Redmi Note 5 battery already is still showing similar performance in 2023 but I noticed that it's already on 95% health according to "Xiaomi engineering and diagnostic" tool
