I think this is the best review of the Xiaomi air fryer I've seen! Most other people here are treating it like a piece of tech, which it is, but its primarily for COOKING. Whilst other people are unboxing it and showing the setup, saying at the end how they tried some fries and pretty much end the video there, you're giving us a "live performance" of a couple different foods and how the app or the unique button on the air fryer works whilst airfrying. Solid review!

Thanks this is such a fantastically detailed review! I decided to buy it too. Seems easy to clean too, by putting the tray in a dishwasher. And you can use aluminum foil in the bottom of the tray to reduce the amount of grease that needs cleaning. :)

I wouldn't use aluminium foil especially for acidic food, I'd use baking/parchment paper if warranted. :)

For scheduled programs, if you're absent to shake the foods, what will happen ? Will it finish at time or it will stay at pause mode ?

If you already select the program French fries, why is it still asking you for degrees and time? A preconfigured program should know already those variables. This makes no sense.

It just lets him change the options, it didn't ask him to change it because it was already set to 200c for 10 minutes. Every major brand of air fryer has bad presets anyways and some brands with dedicated buttons specifically for steak, chicken, fries let you change the presets too and it will stay that way because it's what's best for you and you won't have to do it again.

I don't understand the point of scheduling the air fryer? I mean it's not like I can turn on the air fryer while I'm at work so when I get home the food is done. The air fryer cannot take the fish sticks out of the fridge so I have to be there to put the food in so why would I ever schedule it.

Maybe you want to leave home for an hour of walking or to take care of other tasks. Or perhaps you’d like to take a longer bath. Or you could put some frozen meat in the oven and delay the start time. It’s not complete automation, but it can be helpful in certain situations. If you have children, you might place the meat in the oven, leave, and set it to start a bit later so your child has warm and fresh food when they arrive home

Its like saying: ok, it takes food from fridge, but It's not like you don't need to wash and prepare before, and placing the food in fride. Also it won't grow the food.

I have this air fryer and the outside gets warm (top portion and area under the handle of the basket especially) after the program is complete. It never gets hot during cooking, only after you leave it to cool. Is this normal? Would greatly appreciate if someone could tell me.

Mine has a problem. It won't cook anything. It keeps saying "paused" due to the tray being open, but it isn't. I have reset and cleaned everything, and it still isn't working.

I think it's best if you remember how many time he turned it to get to settings and languages and hope for the best, or use Google translate or Google lens photo option to translate the screen.

Maybe you overfilled the basket? There needs to be enough airflow for the fries to cook and you need to cook it for longer if the basket is full. If it's cold on the inside but cooked outside that means the temperature is too hot and the cooking time is too short as there is not enough time for the heat to the to the middle of the food.

Not very informative at all. It's more or less the manual for hearing impaired. You did not test any of those hundreds recipes, just defrosted and cooked frozen semi-finished products. And to say yumm without even tasting ... no comment. "Easy to clean" .. to show it dirty and then clean doesn´t say anything. Most important of all, even if it´s ready-made frozen food the result look very uneven and not very "yumm".
