I received a new batch manufactured in July 2020, the updated black color remote controller now has a white Netflix button on it, with built-in chromecast, Netflix, Google Playstore preloaded. But the problem is, with single short press on the Power Button, the projector does not go into Sleep Mode, instead only option to Power Off, Restart or Screenshot (just as in Long Press of the power button). Can you put yours to Sleep Mode by pressing the power button?

hi I just got my xiaomi projector. everyhing works good. only one thing how do you connect the speaker to the projector? I use Nakamichii 7.2 sound bar. its useless without the speaker.

Use the headphone out and connect that to the soundbar aux-in; or use hdmi source's toslink optical out ie for example an XBOX and the toslink (optical) out from this to your soundbar optical in. Almost all soundbar's have optical in (toslink). There are other options such ARC and eARC etc: check your manuals with your soundbar and video device. I give the XBOX as an example since the apps you use on the XBOX (ie youtube, netflix, blueray and 4K player etc etc) run much smoother than would on the Xiaomi's inbuilt processor. I have a 55" QLED TV and although the built in googleTV is great; the XBOX apps run much smoother....I am thinking of getting the Mijia since I would like a FHD 100" experience.

I think its a good projector over all, i have it since a week now. The only two negative points i have is regarding a USB Sticks, i jsut wasnt able to see any data on my USB Stick when plugged in. I can only choose "search" and "format" when i plug a USB Stick in. When i press format it will format the stick in a way it can not be recognized from my windows PC anymore, so really strange. Now it says my stick has only 16MB but its 32GB. So it destroyed my stick basically. And whats the point of bonding my stick with the projector forever because the projecotr has no record function or something like that. 2nd negative point is the lag of a shortcut for the autofocus function. Since the projector gets warm you have to focus it again after 15 minutes and the function is only available in the Android menu, thats a shame.

Between this and the vivibright F30/F40 image quality wise? I already have a receiver and 5.1 system and a shield so sound and OS are kind of irrelevant, although the design of Xiaomi seems to be more portable/better and more silent?

@@NoRoads2AllRoads 4200 lumens is just BS, it's not the ANSI standard. I own both this one and a Cheerlux CL770, which is kinda similar to the vivibright. It's maybe slightly less bright than the VB, but is sharp all over, better colors, no blown highlights and much, much quieter. And much smaller I might add

The image doesnt lool like that in reality, its much brighter and the surounding walls are bright as well because of that when your room is dark, so its a bit misleading. The whole room will be bright, in the video it looks like only the projected image is bright and the rest is dark which is not the case

Yes you can by inserting a ‘bluetooth transmitter’ in the audio socket of projector. It works perfectly with my Bose bluetooth headphones :)

A mi me empezaron a salir pixeles blancos en la imagen a partir de los dos años de uso, y poco a poco han ido saliendo más, y ahora está casi toda la pantalla llena. A alguien más le ha sucedido este problema? Son como unos puntos luminosos que aparecen sobre todo en las zonas más externas de la imagen proyectada. He leído que suele ser por un defecto del chip DLP que lleva integrado. Alguien conoce algún tutorial de cómo cambiar ese chip?

Yea I definitely came to a conclusion, global android is better than chinese, only plus is 3.0 usb port, other than that 3d option has complains from here and there, and with the Xiaomi offers right now for less than 400$ (global US version is 350 in aliexpress) it really is hassle-free to just go for it instead of buying chinese version + a chromecast etc etc good vid!

Why Apple TV? Its certified Smart Android Projector so no need for Apple TV. Just hook it up to an laptop or play vids from the device itself.
