Does the soundbar have to be turned on and off by the physical switch when it is in use since there is no remote? Can it be left on all the time?

U need to mute tv sound and manually increase soundbar sound, that is the only way it works if connected through spdif but if u connect through Bluetooth then u can control the soundbar with TV remote...

No .... I have it ... when u play KZbin and all the sound comes from TV ... u have separate volume buttons on bar for which u have to get up and control it.

I want to connect my Soundbar via ARC port with my Mi TV 4X Pro. I have done the physical connections properly (tried with 3 different arc supported hdmi cables), but when checking under settings-->inputs-->hdmi1, its showing no connections and even no sound output is coming via soundbar, only playing via tv default speakers. I can't even find the settings to change the default tv output from tv speakers to hdmi(arc). Tried to search and pair it via bluetooth but the tv is unable to find the device. But its working fine with phone bluetooth. Can you please help me to setup my soundbar with mi tv? Thanks in advance.

Via spdif non Will work... Only HDMI ARC/CEC or Bluetooth Will keep the volume control by remote from tv

But what i know for LG if you use optical connection you will get sound from both the internal speaker and soundbar. However you can only control sound for internal speaker via remote but not sound bar which you need to control via the unit. With bluetooth only from sound bar and you can control via LG remote.

when I connect my Mi TV 4 pro to this Mi soundbar via Bluetooth, a kharr kharr noise starts to come after 5-10min. To avoid this I need to re-establish the connection and it becomes good for another 10min and again the same thing repeats. but this is not the case when we connect the same soundbar to any mobile phone via Bluetooth. How can I resolve this issue?

Lol, seems Both spdif and bluetooth even more are way out of sync! Video and sound not lipsync. There is some option in the tv to Delay the sound to get it sync..

You said remote is not needed. But my TV always pops up a msg that change volume via external drive only whenever I try to change the volume from my TV remote. Because of your comment that remote for this sound bar is not required I bought it and now it is of no use to me. Thanks for the false information which wasted my money digit.
