For me Pro: it's smooth, works great, hasn't slowed down a bit( like the critics were suggesting that it might), can play pubg for like 5 hours at 60% battery (HD graphics) without it getting heated at all, speaker is very loud and decent too. It's reading mode doesn't put strain on eyes even after using it continously for a long time. Cons: plastic back case very vulnerable to scratches but the company provides a back cover. Also the second camera doesn't provide any stability so much like the hairs on this guys head its ornamental.

I actually kinda like MIUI 10 ! Having used Stock Android, Samsung's Touchwiz and Grace UX, EMUI, I feel the aesthetics on MIUI 10 are great. The animations are awesome, the gestures are a breeze and the overall experience is pretty swift (much like iOS). Stock android is a bit faster but the animations absolutely suck and the pill is the poorest effort on gesture navigation ever. This, in my opinion, really hampers the feel of the UI. I vote MIUI !

​@@calvinleechua I removed the miui and flashed custom rom on it (android 9.0) as it is better that way. You can check out Linus's video for a quick guide and links to download (kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKSrpZmCnZuUsNk). If you want to use google camera with the miui, you might have to try different versions because i'm not sure if it'll work as good as it works with stock android. Edit : Also try enabling the buffer fix in the google camera settings -> fix. Maybe it'll help but not very sure.

@@warhamster07 Google Camera. Basically, developers took the software of the Google Pixel phone and ported it to other phones. You install it on your Pocophone and the image quality becomes very close to the Pixel. Much much better than the stock camera app. It's not official so you need to download it from other sources. Coming from Galaxy Note 5, I took this phone as ad-hoc or temporary solution simply because I was tight on budget and I thought at first that I cannot stick to it for long but it's 4 months now and I am able to resist temptation for XS MAX or S10 plus etc. Just upload Google came and you are good to go...!! Regarding blurry issue yeah it will be so because Poco doesn't have Optical Image stabilization (OIS) but then how many moving images do you click, which I think is a luxury and you simply can't expect that in such price segment !!

@@Reknilador Regarding the camera, if you install Gcam it's much better than my S7 because the S7 heats up instantly and lags when using Gcam. Lags on the Poco rarely happen. Display wise, the Poco really has a good LCD, to the point wherein I don't mind the tradeoff of having lesser blacks for a bigger screen. You have to see to believe how great this phone is. Side by side indoors, they don't really differ that much, apart from the usual AMOLED blacks. I prefer having an LCD over burn in anyway.

If anyone is still interested in buying this phone, I've had it since around October, so about 8 months and: Performance is awesome, still perfectly smooth Battery - can't kill the battery completely in a day unless u play a very demanding game for hours. Excellent battery life Camera - really nice in daylight Screen - sharp, beautiful no issues, apart from the notch Software - just download a launcher, not a big issue Oh and the fingerprint scanner and face unlock are still lightning quick Only thing I don't like is the notch

I've been to a xiaomi store twice and noticed none to very few are checking on the pocophone. It's probably because the design is not stellar. I also checked the screen and it's just fine but with mi 3 beside it, the amoled just kills the pocophone screen. I also noticed the screen bleeding quite obviously at the bottom.

I bought one and am so satisfied with it. Great phone works very well and Xiaomi made a wonderful job with software and hardware. Unlike other manufacturers they don't cut features. Best phone ever

I got the top of the line armoured edition , 8/256 gb. Flashed a custom rom and now i have a pixel 3xl for £400 😂 Also flashed a custom kernel and the battery life is pretty similar or even better because the kernel gives me option to either be in power saving , balanced or performance mode. If you are into flashing rom and seeing what the poco f1 will feel like , you could do that and the experience will be even better 😄 And also you get to use the pixel gcam which improves the camera performance even more with night mode and other stuff (slowmo being the only feature not working in it ) Because miui has some naughty restriction which i am not a fan of. Anyways nice video as always. :)

Exactly! You can upload a custom ROM and gcam APK. With that, you've got the same hardware (even camera sensor is the same as it's in Pixel 3 XL) and same software. The only differentiator is OIS in Pixel 3 XL. Quite impressive when we consider the price of Poco. :-)

A poco user for 3 months now and definitely one of the best device out there. Did a test with Antutu app and the benchmark reached 290k, while giving a mind blowing performance for $300. Camera and Display is good, though it's not up there with $1000 smartphone tbh. MIUI isn't that bad like they say, use it for a while and it'll be fine, I personally like it. I've yet to encounter issues like ghost touch and lag (I think it's made up). Those who don't want advertisement, can close it in settings>privacy>user experience program and you can shut it off there. The same can be done in other apps like file manager so hope it helps, I don't receive ads after that, I dunno if the same will happen for others tho. The only thing that disappoint me is the rounded screen design and notch, apart from that, this phone pleases me every way. Hope this comment will help others in considering whether to buy or as a user.

Everyone bags on the design but I actually quite like it. I own the navy blue one and that silver thin frame surrounding the phone is actually quite a nice touch; not too flashy but subtle. I also like the red rings surrounding both of the back cameras. Also, the finish of the plastic is actually very nice. I would definitively recommend getting the navy blue one when it comes to looks. If you get bored after a couple of months, just get a different color case :)

Guys, read about the touch issues, many think its a hardware issue and you'll probably need to replace your phone. Try to get a poco from a recent made batch. I've got mine early and i have HUGE keyboard typing issues!

This has been fixed in the developer version software. I had the issue where 'pe' would be entered as 'ep' when typing fast, but I can't replicate it now with the new software.

Mui10 beta pie is great, my only complain is the screen. I can feel that it's not thick at all and it sounds "empty" when i knock it with my nail. Image quality is good even though the black is not super black due to the lcd panel but I prefer the neutral color than an amoled panel. A matter of taste

Like I said, better design, and yes it is the same processor but it feels a lot smoother on the poco, plus 2gb more ram are of really use, G7 kills too many apps running on background. About display, Poco's isn't bad for 1080P, it's nice.

Holy, mate did you just compare Apple's FaceID accuracy in the dark to that of pocco's? I have been using my XS since it's release and I am a night lurker, needless to say, I have had issues with facial recognition on the first few days, but after that, it's most accurate in the night, not so much so in direct sunlight, however.

Pocophone DEFINITELY!!! However NOBODY is going to ask where you got that beautiful phone. 8x waaaaaaay more premium looking and it has a screen to ratio closer to iPhone than any notch phone on the mark.

PocoF1 is a absolutely amazing!! And the price??! Wow. Don't waste your money on a Samsung or crApple. PocoF1 is all you need. The worst thing about the Pocophone is the notch. I hate any notch. Other than that, this phone is way too good.
