It is possibly going to give Tesla the kick in the ass it deserves. Seeing as their cheapest option is still at a out-of-reach $40,000 for a Model 3, this might lead to a $25,000 Model 2 or $15,000 Model 1. The car was NOT great by any means, but the low price gave it major publicity. Seeing as the American Car Market, especially the post cash-for-clunkers era, is categorized by basically unaffordable cars and trucks, It's abundantly clear that all people want is a car that isn't breaking the bank, and are willing to accept cut corners.

Might mean the car will feel less powerful because the software wouldn't allow a rotation, but it would be much more stable. A performance edition Tesla can't disable traction control and as a result can't spin the tires going around a turn like that.

China evs are ahead bc of their battery production. They have domestic LFP factories. The rest like copying designs can be seen as non issues when compared to the big picture. We don’t have any LFP facilities. LFP batteries are cheaper safer and charge faster but are less energy dense than NCM. There is no denying the quality of these Chinese cars have improved dramatically over the years to the point that they are directly competing with Tesla. They are also subsidized substantially by the state. Like it or not they are competing and winning. Our government knows this hence the high tariffs on Chinese evs. Here in America many ppl are against evs. They are resistant the change and fail to realize that we have to move forward to compete with China. If we don’t accept this challenge we will be left behind and one day we will all be driving Chinese cars.

I think it's dangerous to dismiss this as just another "low-quality" Chinese car. From what I've observed, it's a feature packed car offered at an incredibly affordable price. If these cars flood the market, there's no doubt they will capture a significant market share especially in asian market. They are basically ripping off Taycan design, and selling it for a fifth of the price with superior performance and features. At this price range, the only real competition is Tesla, other car companies are so far behind. It's unlikely they are making a healthy profit margin without government subsidies, considering the amount of hardware included. Just the LiDAR alone should cost between $7 to $15k usd.

Currently BYD, Changan, and jetour are being sold in LATAM, honestly they do pretty good considering they are brand new, the fact their prices sometimes match the cheaper tesla cars is not surprising, this cars have basically the same exact functions as tesla just a little less in some aspects but a little more in other aspects. Changan is probably the best options, tho its expected that their prices will possibly lower instead of going up. Its possible that in the future theyll just be a cheaper Tesla. Talking about Xiaomi now, they arent a car focused company yet their first attempt at a car worked quite well, they are a phone company after all, the fact their car at least works and beats some old cars is already good, they will release newer models and theyll be better. Also stoo complainig about the designs or names. Most designs and names most people consider aesthetic nowdays have all already been used, they didnt have a wide range of options. Either they make it look like already existing cars or create a total new design that NO ONE will like for unreasonable reasons. They know they are a chinese company and people will hate their products because yes and theyll always praise EU and US companies, no matter how good the chinese manages to make their products. There's many people like that around the world and ik most people watching the videos are like that, they simply hate china in itself, not their product, theyll be racist but to the chinese but say its justified meanwhile they defend black people, ik there are a lot of hypocrites like that in this channel. After all, its a literal channel based off of criticizing China and nothing else and it purely gathers China haters. People keep comparing this new cars to Tesla, Kia, Porsche but guess what? China is new and trying to open their business outside, they are young still, companies like Tesla and Porsche have all existed for years already, they countless experience and help, aint no way you're comparing both. I think anyone entering a market will take the benchmark and reverse engineer it. Even existing car companies do this. It’s the fastest way to learn, and the easiest way to improve. This cycle of copying and improving might be rather blatantly obvious in this case, since the overall proportions of the car are so similar. Coming from an E-Tron GT owner, I do think Volkswagen is in trouble here. I see better software, the latest battery technology and a far better efficiency, in a car that’s three times cheaper? That’s just insane. Xiaomi has an enormous margin to fix whatever is needed. Although I don’t think much is wrong with the car, I actually trust the company more than some of the Chinese customers.

To be fair, if that boot really got closed with the full power, that boy's hand would be broken. So I would say the feature is working. The main downside of these cars will always be software features, which aren't as easy to steal and safety. If they're reliable enough, they might be not a bad option. Although they might seem kind of like Adidas clothes with 4 stripes - kind of tacky. Xiaomi should have hired some Italian designer and they would be better off with the original design, at least on the outside.

That's hilarious, if Italian designer is so good, why Italy doesn't have a well known Auto company?

I believe most of Buicks design is taking place in China and has been for several years. As to the European car makers? Well you got bit not once but twice and your still sticking those fingers in the tigers cage. China has stolen cell phone, computer and now even commercial plane technology and building knock off copies. I love the Chinese people in general. They are way more open warm and friendly than the Japanese and it really hurts that they have to live under such a terrible governmental system. And of course when the criminal gang known as the CCP implodes under its own weight it is the people that will suffer. It's always the common people who pay the most.
