I bought a Pro 2 nordic edition with BLE 157. My friend have an older S1 scooter. Swapped the heads and flashed with "Smooth" from Italian site. Now my scooter makes 34 km/h and I weight around 90 kg. In official mode it makes 20 km/h so perfect when my daughter borrows the scooter. Thanks a lot for your video!

Dear sir, I suppose you mean 1S? I am in the same situation - my Pro 2 is updated to DRV 248 and BLE 157, but I have a friend with 1S who has not updated his scooter in half an year, so probably I can use his head to flash a cfw. We did the same procedure as with mine, but this time it did not work to even start the flashing progress, The DownG app freezes when hitting "flash" and stops at 0 %. Then the scooter gets locked and we need to reboot the scooter to unlock it. Do you have any idea how to solve this? What can be the root cause?

@@johanjonsson4809 First of all, check the ESC version of this scooter so as not to brick it. Sometimes Down G gives these errors, restart your smartphone, or you can try "Scooter Hack Utility" for flashing.

@@marksguza4127 In some countries, flashing to a new firmware is forced (Germany), in my country only the offer to upgrade jumps out, and you can skip it. So it's hard to say how it's in yours. If you are on android, there is a bunch of other apps for monitoring. "M365Dashboard"...

Big thanks for your Video. I did nearly the same (new pro 2 with ble 1.5.7 with a 1s head). I installed the SHFW succesfully. But different to you I made my config on the 1s head and it bricked (frozen screen, mode D, without battery stats and power button without function). After switching to a new Mainboard now I m afraid to do it again, but i will risk it..

ESC was 3.0 right? No errors after flashing? It might be, that your scooter was stuck in charge mode, sometimes it happens after flash. The fix is that you need to disconnect the battery and connect it again. Try to connect to your old ESC(mainboard), it should work if my guess is correct. Subscribe, thanks.

I'm newbie into these things. I got panic and gave the scooter to a repair shop and they so told me, switched the ESC and the controller (maybe a scam?). But it works again. Unfortunately I did not make a data screenshot, but now there is DRV 1.7.1, BMS 1.2.8, BLE 1.5.7 on. The ESC is 99% sure a 3.0 without opening the ESC cover. I don't want to scratch the waranty sticker. It is a model from 2021/7. Well, i called a friend with a 1s, i will try this in the evening. Thank you for your support 🙏

@@smokeyxyz1638 Just noticed that on BMS128 battery level is displayed incorrectly (at least on 1S) BMS141 looks ok. So don't charge your scooter fully while flashing, and if it shows AO (which means fully charged) on lower than 100% charge, flash BMS141 🤞🤞🤞

Hi, I have 2 questions. I have done the head swap process a dozen of times but my prcedure is a bit different. 1) What is the reason when flashig first method (CFW from scootehacking), you need to use external files (and moreover, you flash 2 different archives)? When I do the same, it's enough for me to just flash the firmware built by Scooterhacing CFM mahager and I have all the potions which I can tune to my liking. So is there any additional "special" fomwareware component that you are flashing at the secon run (with CFW)? 2) I haven't ever cared about BMS versions, and as said above, I have flashed like 10 scooters with the head swap method. Am I was just lucky not to brick it? BTW just today I have got a new Mi3 scooter and I was curious to look at its UUID and it DOES NOT contain FF characteers. Does thos mean that using the described head swap methd above, I will brick it? TBH I already tried it, but at the monent I only have a spare head from Pro2 and scooterhacking refused to flash Mi3 with Pro2 head. Or was it exactlyu because if the new BMS controller? I wanted to show 2 methods, 1st when you can flash your built DRV or BMS that you wish to. And the second is that you can use a scooter-hacking app. As for BMS, better to leave it alone, there are differences between them, such as unlocking more battery capacity (which is reserved) or fast charging. But there is a new BMS hardware version that is incompatible with old BMS firmware and might be bricked. "Am I just lucky not to brick it?" - yes lucky :) "it DOES NOT contain FF characteers" - yes its 3.1 version, depending on the controller you may totally brick it, or partially (when the scooter turns on by itself after shutting down). "scooterhacking refused to flash Mi3 with Pro2 head" - lucky again :) Maybe they implemented something, I have no idea. Personally, I flashed mi3 with 1s head (and they are the same as pro2) with method 1 that's in the video, and it went ok. Given that I will be using 1S head to flash SHFW to my Pro 2, do you think that there will be any problems, since SHU will “think” it is flashing SHFW to 1S instead of Pro 2? @@АлександърМадов I don't know for sure (as I don't have pro2), but I think it's the same firmware for all, otherwise, default amperage would be set after flash. It might be that it puts "info" tabs according to BLE. Or maybe it does the app (check what scooter model is shown in the info tab under "Throttle mode" after flash), if it's your actual model, then DRV is the same for all. Maybe 3rd party app developers will find a workaround to flash encrypted BLE. Don't use the official app for an upgrade, as Xiaomi will patch such workarounds (if they will be found) in future firmware to prevent hacking.

Smooth zip is pre cooked firmware just for 3.0 ESC mainboard. 2nd. method is shfw for 3.0;3.1... ESC mainboard. So the best option is to use shfw.

You can flash prebuilt drv in that way. @ first you need to know your scooter esc board revision, is it stm32 or gd32. If you flash wrong version drv it will brick your mainboard (see video description). Is it possible to fash shfw with that old dash, I hawe no idea. Thank you for the hack, I am few days new with a pro 2 and didn't know anything about latest update having the cryptographic lock , as soon as I unboxed the scooter which is made in July 2020 , I updated the FW, then searched to unlocke the speed limit and found out ble 157 is locked and not possible to downgrade . After some research discovered st link . I have one question , is it possible to down grade the BLE FW to something older than 157? And I assume if that is possible I no longer need st link in the future to change FW? Where would I find the files for older BLE FW?

One subscriber has successfully flashed pro2 with M365 head, but this head had hacked BLE "prepared for 3-mode firmware readings". So it's hard to say, will this method work with standard dot dashboard BLE. I think it's a big chance that it will work. Yes, it will work. Probably it will give you beeps and error codes, but DRV will be flashed. Before flashing check your ESC version. Use SHFW from "Scooter hacking utility" as mi3 needs in addition to this DRV (that is used in the video) hacked BLE (and you cannot reflash your BLE as you have locked 155 version) otherwise it will give you error codes on the dashboard. It will be intact, since drv or shfw is installed in the main board located at the bottom of the scooter next to the battery. Ble is located in the dashboard. And you dont flashing it. Put friend's head, instal shfw from "Scooter hacking utility" and configure it to start driving. DRV from first part of the video is for ESC 3.0 And don't flash BMS this is not needed. Yes, SHU recognizes the controller version and flashes the correct shfw. When you return the scooter's head, it will warn you again that ble is restricted (because nothing has changed in the dashboard), but shfw will be flashed to mainboard, and you can change shfw settings from the app.

Although sometimes you can end up with a bricked ESC even if everything was chosen correctly, so it's best to start this process when you have an STLink so that if something goes wrong, you are able to fix it.

If your scooter is just out of the store it's a good idea to check your ESC version, if it's 3.0, then you are good to go, if 3.1, you will brick your scooter. I have an issue. I tried to flash a new scooter without the "FF" in the UUID. It worked, however the scooter is restarting every time I turn it off. And after a while it starts beeping over and over again. I get an error when I connect using the DownG. "Low status on the MOSFET is anomalous". Anyone have an idea how to solve?

No need to downgrade, everything is ok. Your BLE is not locked and ESC version is 3.0. For mi3 You will get error 42, you need to flash patched BLE ( f0456977.xsph.ru/base/index.html ) just after that flash some hacked DRV. Or make your DRV with checkbox fix error 42 ( mi.cfw.sh/# ) Or use SHU (scooter hacking utility) and flash shfw. Personally, I use shfw with my Mi3 And remember that after flashing the shfw, it needs to be configured in the app to start riding. So you flashed wth headswap method right? If so, then: your scooter stopped accelerating after you installed SHFW for the first time. This is normal behaviour and is nothing to worry about. You will need to configure SHFW after installing it. Acceleration/power curves are set to 0 by default. Also by default, SHFW shows your battery level percentage when your scooter is not moving. This is not an error code. In the first place, you have to unscrew the bottom of your scooter to make sure that ESC is 3.0, otherwise, you will brick your scooter for good. As mi3 has 3.0 and 3.1 boards. If it's 3.0 you need another Mi3 with old BLE onboard. (1S head should work for this purpose too) Only 2nd method will work for mi3, as smooth firmware requires BLE134 to prevent error 42 and you cannot change BLE. For 1st method, you can cook firmware on scooterhacking.org but personally, I experienced weird shutters when the charge dropped below 30% Subscribe, thanks.

As far as I know, those oldest dashboards use a different communication protocol, so it's hard to say whether it will work. You need a head from pro2 or 1S. If you try this, write back as it might be helpful for others. For Mi3 I use SHFW2.0.5 from the "scooter hacking app". As Mi3 needs in addition with precooked firmware hacked BLE, otherwise it will display error42. And as I assume you have BLE155 (which you cannot reflash without stlink). Subscribe, thanks.

Yes, it will work, but: Before flashing DRV you need to know your ESC version 3.0 or 3.1 (you can check it with scooter hacking utility app - head over to the top right menu and click on "Hardware details" STM32 - 3.0, GD32, AT32.. - 3.1). After that, depending on the ESC version you need to use old (for ESC3.0) or new-gen (for ESC3.1) DRV. Or the newest shfw from"scooter hacking utility" app on android, as it supports all ESC versions. There is no need to flash BMS (I just showed that it's possible).
