I have bought it too its cool but the Download of the Videos is very Long from the WLAN which the camera creates

The higher you place it on your front window(behind rear view mirror almost on center) the better. It allows you to point the camera a little more horizontal which shows very little dashboard and gets everything in view, pillar to pillar. It also keeps camera from getting too hot from the sun as most windshields have a slight tint towards the top. Its a Fantastic dash cam!!! 1080 @ 60fps!!!

In a way its good in to put behind the rear view mirror, it doesnt block my view there but in rain the wipers will not wipe the water from that part of the windshield so the video will be bad than. Ive placed it there and noticed it after i put it up. Mine came with glued mount so i cant really change its position unless i buy an other mount. Otherwise its claimed to be resistant to sun's heat.

Thanks for this - just wanted to check that you really can turn off the timestamp in the corner. I don't always want it on. Is this a possibility with the camera? Is the suction mount a big problem for stability as well?

yes. f/1.8 aperture makes it possible to shoot decent videos in low light.

That 3 mins limit is only the limit "per clip", right? I mean, as long as there's enough storage, it will record as many clips as it can save. And with the loop feature, it'll simply auto delete the oldest file. For instance, if I use it alongside 64 GB microSD, I can save a decent amount of clips at the very least. Or does that 3 mins clip use the whole memory? Also, you mentioned that using 60 fps will decrease details, well, it also suggests using high-speed microSD for 60 fps, so I think I won't use that either way, but how's the quality of the 30 fps, in your opinion? Or was the whole video recorded with 30 fps? If yes, it was quite good honestly.

Is there a way for you to change the amount of time it records for the clips you save? It would be nice to have longer than 20 seconds, in case you were recording road rage or something like that.

The regular length of the clip is 3 mins and you cannot change it. 20-second clips are created only when the G-sensor (shock sensor) is activated e.g. you are in the car accident etc. So you will be able to record that road rage if it happens :D

win826 I don't know about quality differences between those two.rebranding different?.Yi said they aren't belong to Xiaomi but every year(from the start 😂 ) they make camera for Xiaomi + Xiaomi sell Yi-branded cameras in their stores. This isn't a normal partnership ,I think Xiaomi actually owns Yi but they just left the Yi stand on its own .Ex: Lenovo and Motorola

I kinda doubt it'll work like that when your car is parked. From what I can tell, the built-in battery can only last for a couple of minutes.

Hi, i would like to remove the dash cam from my car when i'm not driving (for safety sake). Will this cause a problem with the attachment (i.e. taking out and putting back in many times)? Will it become loose and shakes a lot?

I think it will hold a little over 10 hours of 1080 30fps video on a 64 Gb card. It would be less than that if its 60 fps or at the highest resolution.

I don't this so. The video formats listed are 1920x1080p at 30fps, 1920x1080p at 60fps, and 2304x1296p at 30fps. We used a 128Gb memory card and 1920x1080p at 30fps on our vacation and easily got about 3 days worth of video before it started writing over the previous files.
