Colour is characteristic of frequency and frequency is characteristic of energy source (E=hf), if we first cover a light source with red wrapper and then with blue wrapper then why we are able to identify different colours in either case as in both case source is same and so frequency also... ?

the electron will travel towards the -ve potential with some KE but also at the same time will be attracted by the +ve potential on the left electrode..but the electron travels towards -ve potential anyways...so that must mean the the forward KE minus the positive potential will give the net energy with which the electron travels and that energy must be equal to -ve potential...i am a bit perplexed..pls clarify if i am wrong

At 9:40 ,sir INTENSITY IS LIGHT PER UNIT AREA, SO IT DOESN'T MATTER THAT HOW MUCH LIGHT IS COMING THROUGH WINDOW IN INTENSITY.

Sir plz clear my doubts.. I have been trying to find out the answer for very long time.. No one could answer me correctly Colour is characteristic of frequency and frequency is characteristic of energy source (E=hf), if we first cover a light source with red wrapper and then with blue wrapper then why we are able to identify different colours in either case as in both case source is same and so frequency also... ?

Yes it is right Frequency is directly proportional to stopping potential And by definition stopping potential is a negative term

Sir I have a confusion.plz solve it. In hallwachs nd lenards expe.first we put light of apt frequency on cathode (A)-ve and see that e- moves to anode (B)+ve. And when we say that we give the voltage in negative to anode (B) it means anode and cathode are interchanged . And now we put the light on new anode (A) and try to emit the e-.is it right?... In this condition why current does not flow.rather e- have path to flow this anode to🔋and then cathode.cathode also repel the photo e-.plz reply

I have a question. It'd be better if you cleared out my doubts. Sir, In the graph between the frequency of light and photoelectric current (keeping intensity constant), you said that the current increases slightly and you've done the same thing in the graph too. The no. of electrons remains constant but why there's slight increase in the current? I tried this one with Phet Simulations and the photoelectric current increases significantly? Why does this happen ? Please reply , Sir! Is that due to the increase in velocity of electrons that increases after electrons are ejected due to increased frequency of light ?

currect increases when voltage is applied to plate ...its just that more electrons will b attracted to plate rather than few so current increase

Pls sir clear my doubt sir as we know metals are lustrous that is they can reflect light . so when we fall light on metal having shiny surface ,light will be reflected so how will the electrons deep inside the surface with higher work function will get energy to come out ? please clear it sir

Glass tube is evacuated because air particles brings resistance in the flow of electron Because air is insulator of electricity

current will increase by changing intensity until all the free electrons ejects.(means if a plate has 50 free electrons..current will increase until all free electrons(50) not ejected by changing intensity...nd after that current became saturate..

E=hf Energy of photon is directly proportional to frequency Jada frequency ke light me jada energy hoga Therefore usse nikaale huye electron ka KINETIC ENERGY jada hoga isliye usko rokne ke liye stoping potential bhi jada lagega KE is directly proportional stoping potential So frequency is directly proportional to stopping potential.

Very nice lecture sir , but as you said initially the one terminal is - and one is + and we get the current as a saturation but as we reverse the polarity then another terminal became - and first one became + and as first one became + how electrons comes out i didn't get it because according to charge property its contradictory
