There might be an error in the last class frequency: the correct frequency is: Class: 4.225 - 4.705 : Frequency = 8

@waiman05053 жыл бұрын
sir, if the class width is 2.0 and the data is continuous data (e.g. 5.45 3.45 9.58 3.22 6.77 ) , which number should I take after round up 2.1 or 2.01 ? thanks
@helpyourmathstat3 жыл бұрын
How do you think? We need two decimal places.

@@helpyourmathstat i choose 2.01 first but I get something wrong in next step (chebyshev's) haha
@keilyarteaga20433 жыл бұрын
Professor Luis there was an error in the frequency when you count the last one: 4.225-4.705 it is not 7, it is 8. otherwise the total doesn't match the amount of the data = 20

Thank you! It's a typo! :)

Great video. However, I don't get how u rounded up to 5 thousandth. Can you explain.
@mehrosenasir39665 жыл бұрын
when we have a full integer (6) in the lower class limit then we do substract 0.5 to find the class boundary likewise if we have one decimal value in the lower class limit (6.1)then we will substract 0.05.The thumb rule is we will go one decimal point ahead always then the value of class limit.

@Mehrose Nasir, that's a very nice explanation of it!👍

the value of the smallest place value of the data is hundredths ... so 0.01 divided by 2 is = 0.005; when the smallest place value of your data is a unit aka 1, as in 47, 5, 8, 10 ... you go 1 divided by 2 = 1/2 or 0.5 so that's how you arrive at the amount to use to construct class boundaries from class limits

Sir , I think there’s a mistake in that
