No damage, no injury -- just a lot of adrenaline

Flying an RC plane or a drone at an operational airport is something best left to the experts as this video will demonstrate.
Another weekend of fun, frivolity and noise at the Tokoroa Airfield in New Zealand. Motocross bikes to our left, racing bikes to our right, helicopters, microlights and even a glider off in the distance. Who could ask for more?
And not a single drop of blood spilt or property damaged. What a fantastic adventure playground this area really is. Such a shame the owners (our local council) seem hell-bent on refusing any suggestion that they promote this facility to the world -- never mind, I'll do that for them!

Wonderful. I used to hold licences that allowed me to fly 5.9 tons of metal more or less wherever I liked, except close to Buckingham Palace, but these days I trigger hysteria if I elevate half a pound of foam over the next field. I'm not sure I like where this world is heading.

I love the videos bruce, not to be annoying but do you know when you will make a video on the ADSB plane alarm? I love it and how its like a plane detection system and I wanted to make it for my school electronics class major work that will be due in 2 or so months using your code and all the parts. But if you don't believe you would have released it by then I would just have to find another affordable one I could use.

Another great vid Bruce....if you think drone regs are getting worse the story just get drearier..our hobby in UK is being destroyed by the CAA in the UK....i fly to alleviate my ptsd and to get outdoors. Now they want worse restrictions than RID in the States.

I'm in the process of making a video directed solely at the regulators (all of them, all over the world). I'll be making some strong points (with facts and evidence of course) and asking them to "please explain" the reasons for this ridiculous over-regulation. I'll also be putting them on notice that *they* will be responsible for the dearth of talent entering the aviation/aerospace industry in years to come if the hobby dwindles and fades.

The sim is "okay" but the hangar layouts and position of the now demolished tower is way-out. One day I should do an FPV flight and overlay MSFS on the video to see how that works out -- or maybe do a split-screen.

Hi Bruce Can you help me with my wee dilemma, I'm just building a Junkers CL1 with a petrol motor, but with the fuel tank that comes with in the kit, Can I use the stopper in the kit or do we have to find a petrol stopper cheers Robbie

If the tank is designed for methanol then you will need to find a different stopper. Gasoline will damage the rubber used in methanol tanks so it will be come a leaky mess in no time. There are gasoline stopper kits available on the market, just find one the right size for the neck of your tank

Can a full size helicopter auto-rotate from 6 ft elevation? That low and slow pass looked far more dangerous than anything you fellows have ever done. Stay safe and beware bad pilots of any size craft. :)

Too bad the Voice isolation in DR 18.5 doesn't just add the Voice to a second track (Or the 1st) and move the original to track 2. Better yet Isolate both tracks so the background and the dialogue can be manipulated as necessary.

I only have pre-rolls but KZbin's content ID system is doing a number on this video. I have paid money to license the music I use in this video but someone is claiming that legitimately licensed music through YT's Content ID and I have to appeal. This could mean that in the meantime, the claimant has put mid-roll ads in. KZbin remains a damned train wreck and it seems that creators' rights are not a thing any more :-(
