Fun little plane except it breaks very easy in the most minor crashes. The servo`s are plastic and what happens with the motors out front like that it grabs the motor and snaps the plastic servo in crashes. I found some 5gram metal servo`s on Banggood and will be putting them in mine. This plane is great but must fly with care or it ends up being a paper weight, or sits there for a month waiting for replacement servo`s! Great video! Enjoyed very much!

Went ahead and bought that battery checker. Price was a bit steep at 67 euros, including tax. But it's spectrum and should also work with their smart batteries.

I love this bird. It grabbed the attention of my RC club during our Winter indoor flights. I also love to fly this in my neighborhood around the house. The quadcopter feature allows this close proximity flying. In fact, I purchased another. Now, the BIG negative and all owners should be aware. The acetal plastic servo gears will break in a heart beat. In fact, I'm awaiting my second metal gear servo for my first bird. Ordered two others for the new bird that's not arrived yet. These are the servos that drive the motor pitch. Just a bad placement which makes them vulnerable.

Just caught part 1 liked, checking part 2 SOLD!!! ordering There is another tuber out there got one all busted up and a JJRC VTOL busted up also, but he is a HUGE DJI guy for what it is worth 3 days of video reviewing I have seen pretty cool fliers. of that 3 broken 2 extreme aggressive flying and 1 remote cut out. Like anything flown if respected should last a few hehehehehehe on the remote cut out a 2 way radio could have been the culprit.

I am really interested in this plane, it's a great model. I may get one.It stands out from the crowd becuase it's VTOL and at £79 is good value, must be really great fun.I had the X420 Brushed Vtol a few months back, but it's not as good as this (the motors didn't hinge allowing for conversion) it got ran over by a van, so no luck there.I heared somewhere that the motor servo's are a bit weak on it and wear out quickly,is this the case?

Mine is not working - I can't get anything to respond correctly. The motors fired up after I activated the esc and if I wasn't holding onto it it would have gone through the roof.

@Jeffrey Hurd Your information is incorrect. Gyro calibration (by craft in Multicopter Mode and sitting on a level surface, then both sticks to bottom left) is quick and highly recommended at start-up and after any knock. As you intimate, the swiveling front motors and their associated mechanics are the weak points in this (and the overly expensive and less sophisticated Convergence/Mini Convergence) so it pays to be very careful with any of them if you want a reasonable flying to fixing ratio!

@Jeffrey Hurd My apologies mate. You are the first person to report that he has received a "fake copy" of 1 of these interesting XK X450 multi mode V-tols and that it was delivered without the normal internals. Please post details of it and where you got it from. I had thought that you were just one of those raving "Patriotic" fools who always rant about "fake Chinese junk rip-offs" of "genuine American" products without realizing that their favourite is made in the same factory and with the same quality of components. That would make as much sense as saying that an American built Ford or Chevrolet vehicle is just a "rip-off" of old Carl Benz's invention and that you should buy a "genuine" Mercedes instead because it might be better made. With regard to the servos, as mentioned these are the weak points and can be replaced with metal geared units (for a small weight penalty) both on this and the similarly plastic geared servos equipped Convergence/Mini Convergence. However that won't completely fix the inherent weakness in the original designs. You will still have to treat them gently or spend a lot of time fixing them. A better V-tol with regard to flying to fixing ratio is the excellent XK X520 which is a so much more durable product as to have replaced the inferior X-vert in the market! It has excellent gyros similar to the genuine XK X450 as well.

Nope. AIO board works on an orphan Futaba S-FHSS derivation. Available now on Multi protocol module radios.

Hey Matt, I have a few 1300ma batts from other projects, one 15c that is a tight fit and three 20c (also puffed a little) that are a really tight fit! I had to trim the lip at the front of the canopy a little for it to sit down all the way and could probably trim the sides of the battery bay a little for an easier fit, but overall they do work.
