I honestly thought Valkorion would be different to his two previous incarnations in my first playthrough. My DS Knight fell for his manipulations because she was obsessed with wanting the throne. She wanted the power that came with it. Plus, I made the final fight slightly harder for myself. Lol

Yep, a shame indeed. Completed the story on my Warrior, who was a pure Dark Side Sith, but defied Valkorion with passion after he went with this planet consuming sh*t. Obviously, this Warrior wouldn't want take the place of the Emperor he hated. But seriously, choosing a role of a peacekeeper for a Sith who picked almost every Dark Side decision possible, killing and butchering his way till the end? Okay, Emperor it is.

I think that makes it even better. Having characters bow even if it's out of character for them usually just shows how powerful valkorion really is and that even they are unable to escape his will. Like they did with maul in the clone wars when he begged for mercy in front of sidious.

@@mmm7528 they accomplished that with physically making the character yield. Voicing that is dumb as he doesn't have control of them and they ARE being defiant even in that moment. Don't get me wrong, i like your headcannon reasoning of it but, given that the story is obviously meant for force classes, think about it. The Wrath that withstood the combined might of the dread masters and didn't flinch. Kallig that healed their fractured mind and withstood the torment of ancient, powerful sith ghosts infesting their mind. The barsenthor who shielded the minds of others and even able to cut off the emperor himself from the mind of the first son, whom he'd controlled since childhood. The battlemaster that has been under his influence and simply shook it off. Even the non force classes have impressive feats of the mind. If he had completely dominated us, different thing. But to have our characters just decide to give in like that? Bad enough they were serving us up to their fan fic characters as it was. But that? That sucked.

@@dvf1736 The Children were the "dark personas" all along. The Jedi side and all of that was the act. The only Child he took over directly was Kira and he spoke in the first person with her, just as he did with everyone he possessed. If you mean his actual flesh and blood children, he had them bound and placed completely under his control with some ritual he did (probably Force Walking) when they were literally at their weakest: the moment of their death. None of that applies to our character who has an especially reinforced mind, was actively resisting him, is powerful enough to NOT be wiped out the way he did everyone else when he "hollowed them out" and, without any significant growth after that point, binds Valkorian himself and limits his power simply because his will is weaker than ours. It seems like it was meant to be a choice and is either bugged or they messed it up and were too lazy to correct it. It's just sooooooo out of place and sucks.

Since both light and dark side end with the Eternal Alliance, choosing to become the Emperor or Empress is better since it is a better symbolic demonstration of status and power. Besides it probably makes easier to keep both the Sith Empire and the Republic in check and possibly with time would help to mold them into one Empire. However personally I would like if the player had the choice just say "Fuck this galaxy were going to a new one to build a better society. Let the Republic and Sith Empire kill each other" and leave with the eternal fleet and your Alliance.

Except that a) the name "Eternal Alliance" makes more sense for the light side ending, b) the Republic has a long history of overcoming impossible odds and taking down psychopathic dictators that are A LOT more powerful than they are, c) the Empire doesn't like having other people lord over them (notice how quick they were to attack the Eternal Empire after you beat Arcann) and d) as observed in Shadow of Revan and Knights of the Fallen Empire, there are plenty of individuals on both sides who are more than willing to work together to take down a larger threat (in this case, you) and can be fairly successful in the meantime.

Włodzimierz Szyc True, but I still think that a light-sider would probably have an easier time influencing things than a dark-sider would considering that most people would probably be more willing to cooperate with an executive official than with an evil dictator. Fear tactics only work for so long before you piss someone off who you shouldn't have pissed off and then they raise up an army destroy you. The next expansion should have more than just two endings, have one dark side ending where you rule over everything and then one where you get assassinated for being so evil and hurting so many people and have it so that which choices you make in-game affect whether you live or die. And then maybe one LS ending where you remain in power and one LS ending where you sacrifice yourself for the greater good or something. Just to make it so that your choices have more far-reaching consequences than they have in Fallen Empire and Eternal Throne.

I absolutely hate that they made becoming the emperor/empress a dark side action. Empires are not inherently evil, the reason Star Wars' empires are evil is because they have Sith at the helm. Empires like the Fel Empire are great proof as to how an empire can be good-natured. The become-an-emperor choice should have had two sub-options: Become Benevolent Emperor or Become Malevolent Emperor.

Totally the ending my DS Knight went with. Didn’t realise I made the final battle harder for myself, thankfully I kept Valkorion’s father in the holocron. Yeah, like Palpy manipulating Anakin, my Knight fell hook, line and sinker for Valky’s manipulations. However in my run, Koth’s dead, Senya’s dead, so is Arcann and SCORPIO. I lost count how many companions/possible allies my Knight killed,

I think it is quite underrated how Valkorion literally caused the biggest character development when you go into KOTFE (lore speaking, ofc). If it wasn`t for him, the lore would still be go to X place to gain power>Get betrayed>power again>betrayed again. He gave force user a whole different perspective with the whole "you need to be something besides light and dark" to be able to defeat him.

I could never play my Jedi as a full on Dark Sider like this, maybe a bit deviant from the Code sometimes but never this far gone. I much prefer the Inquisitor for my Dark Side force user in this story. The Warrior is an absolute beast, like an unstoppable force of nature storywise considering the kind of crap they just utterly plow through to achieve their goals (granted that is admittedly pretty much the MO for every Bioware hero but the point still stands), but the Inquisitor is more of a leader than the Warrior would ever be.The Warrior has only ever really been a tool, in the literal sense. First for that Overseer, then for Baras and finally for the Emperor. The Inquisitor built up a sizable power base on their rise to the Dark Council and accumulated a considerable amount of personal power as well so forging the Alliance AND achieving the power they need to best all their enemies in Zakuul doesn't seem so far out of character. It's just a shame the whole absorbing force spirits to gain their power plot element just up and disappears beyond a brief mention during the very beginning "dream" bit. It would have been interesting to see your 4 (or is it 5?) spirits help you out against him as well, maybe do the same thing that Drammath did and sacrifice themselves to weaken Valkorian enough for you to subjugate him in their place. Hell having them heckle him during the bits where he shows up to talk to you would have been hilarious enough.

Latios XD That's bug, if you killed Arcann in chapter 6 and in chapter 9 he will be your companion until you defeat Valkorion, but if you punch exit area button he will be your companion with mask and metal arm until you complete chapter 9. You can complete heroics with him))))

Not going to lie, Vaylin's line mocking valkorian before his death got me hyped. Arcann was a bit too light side for me in my playthrough as i like Arcann as light side but i, a mostly light side jedi consular was more eager to end valkorian than his own son.

Well I can't decide which version of Arcann I like more: Light side Arcann is good I mean player can have a romance with him. Dark side Arcann has cool armour. And his line The Outlander didn't kill us Father. You did. is GOLD.

This ending was a surprise to me, only because out of my 36 characters, only 3 are dark side and the other 33 are light side. I made the ending all light and pretty with rainbows and unicorns. Watching this dark ending, and having gone through my light ending 4 times (4 more to go, one each class), I prefer the light ending. Plus, watching everyone's faces/features/body actions, in the light ending, everyone is smiling and happy and Gault cuddles Hylo. I've got Arcann and Senya alive and Vaylin is dead. Acina still scowls, but she mostly does. But Jace and Satele smiled a little or had happier faces/neutral. In the dark ending, everyone looks pissed (the companions/crew), Lana and Theron helped you (where Arcann and Senya helped me), and Satele looked pissed. I'm thinking the dark ending for the next expansion, whatever it might be, is not going to bode well for dark characters, but might be a little happier for light characters. BTW, it was nice to see the difference in the throne rooms on Odessen. The dark side had blacks and pinks and she sat her ass down. The light was bright with gold and she didn't sit in the throne, just basically has it there for decoration. Oh, even the Zakuulans on the light side were happy with the light side version to the dark side version where they looked either worried or pissed. So I like the contrasts.

Valkorians not dead. There's plenty of theories but I've never heard anyone point out the fact that you only get his health down to 50% when the final cutscene begins, which is when the final phase starts.

I played a sort of mixed inquisitor that picked this option. He started off as a true sith, maybe even a bit psychotic. But as he grew and overcame challenges he eventually mellowed out, caring more about knowledge and power than simple indulgence. He ended up just barely darkside by the end of shadow of Reven. He cared about the empire and the people in it. However after he was captured by Zakuul and lost everything he worked to build he went into a rage, seeking to harm Valkorian's legacy whenever he could. But eventually he realized that the worst insult to the former emperor would be to claim all he has built, just as Valkorian tried to take all that he was.

At that last part where you sat down on the throne my character was a body type 2, and he was towering over everyone else due to a bug, he was huge, everytime you saw your characters face, my characters chest was shown xD

I think Theron should not be okay with this decision. His ideals are completely different and I hope that in the next expansion they had him leave Commander if he/she stays that way. Or he should turn to darkside too :D Because if he loves someone that evil it doesnt make sense anymore. In SoR and Rise of the Emperor if you acted like a d*ck he didnt like you. In this way I like how Koth abandon you if you are not the person he thinks you are. Makes more sense then this. Hopefully we will see more in the future :) and of course thanks xLetalis for your videos :)

Becoming an emperor isn't necessarily evil, you could use the title as a way to govern the galaxy. You just hold more power, but that doesn't mean you would randomly destroy worlds like Archann or Valyn.

Well, I didn´t mean that it is bad to be an Emperor/Empress at whole. As I wrote an answer to another comment here it is more about HOW you will rule, not IF you will. I am talking about that whole persona who is this DarkSided Jedi Knight. :) She destroys everything which stands in her way, SHE IS that evil person and dictator. That´s why I think Theron should not be okay with it. ;)

MissEpica It's the end justified the means. Many rulers in our history committed genocide and even killing family members who opposed them and still being regarded as great rulers like queen Elizabeth or Catherine the Great. It's more about what they do as ruler rather than how they got there.
