(*) Kerrigan lecture her minions about "wokeness" progressive ideology and teaching them to be SJW. (*) Humans: everyone is obsessed about Mengsk who was defeated by Kerrigan at the end of Broodwar and left with nothing. Kerrigan herself let him live and suddenly in SC2 she changed her mind and was obsessed to kill Mengsk who magically rebuild his empire from ashes and was emperor once again. This or Broodwar events never happened in SC2. (*) Protoss became retarded. Friendship is magic. Some are even simps of Raynor. Overall, Starcraft 2 feels like creation of autistically implemented progressive ideology. It was released in 2010, so it's not surprise. It was dawn of progressive ideology in society.

Say what you will about the worst of them, I don’t think they ever approached a situation and decided literal genocide and supremacy was a good idea. It takes a special kind of idiot to confuse the radian might makes right speeches as something “progressive”. Also, regarding the protos, how about you go and look for nations that tried to alienate themselves from potential allies, see how long they lasted. Actually see if you can find them at all. I didn’t play the first game, but from this game I gather that “ The Queen of Blades” and Kerrigan are two separate entities, with different goals. I also make the rather safe assumption that Mengsk had some position of power even after the Zerg campaign.

@KeViNZP8 жыл бұрын
+Talaal Bajwa The Protoss talk telepathically, thoughts are formed instead of words, so as a human, you would hear them speaking your language, but really their thoughts are just telepathically sent to you. When you talk to Protoss, you would open your mouth and speak as if talking to a human, but really, the Protoss hears both your voice and your mind. And you can't keep surface thoughts secret to protoss, only other protoss can hide surface thoughts from other protoss. Zerg are telepathic as well, however, they do not like to share their thoughts openly with anyone, so they speak with their own zerg language. However, if you do get to talk to zerg, there are two ways to hear from them. You either hear them truly telepathically (thoughts sent to your head), or you hear their zerg language translated via Kerrigan's mind... For the zerg part, I'm basing it on the book "Queen of Blades". Where Raynor hears the overlord speaking.
@KeViNZP8 жыл бұрын
+Talaal Bajwa I actually love Terran, but do play other races. Even if I love Terran, I'm still on the low silver league, and my Protoss plays are actually better. I know a big bit of the lore because I bought almost all of the Starcraft novels(not sure if I missed anything. I made sure I bought them all), except for the comics. And I do remember in QoB, when the overlord spoke, only Raynor understood, but when the time came to kill the cerebrate Zasz, Zeratul was able to talk to it. So, there must really be a zerg language. (Protoss have their own language as well, if you click some of the units, you'll hear them talk in their language, the Khalai)

So the supposed villain of SC1 Kerrigan is the main protagonist of SC2. The entire storyline of the 3 campaign is actually Kerrigan’s redemption. She had the biggest character development in SC2 Wings of Liberty - main antagonist, villain. Was eventually cleansed of all evil influences of Amon by the Xel’Naga artifact and regained her humanity Heart of the Swarm - Anti-hero. Reverted back to the Queen of Blades but still in control of her humanity. Became good in the latter part of the campaign. Legacy of the Void - The main protagonist. The chosen one to save humanity from Amon. Returned back to her normal life 2 years after Amon’s defeat and went off with her love interest Jim Raynor and never to be seen or heard again. The Queen of Blades had indeed became a legend

Finally. Feel happy for Jim, though. Hated the betrayel of Mengsk in Starcraft 1.
@eoftar31923 жыл бұрын
Read "I, Mengsk". Then look again at SC story. There is more to this story than a cliche evil vs good. Kerrigan killed Mengsk's family - his mother, little sister and cut his father's head off. His father led a rebellion against the Confederacy, not unlike that one from Star Wars. Basically, Korhal shared the fate of Alderan in the end. True, Kerrigan was following orders of the Confederacy and was later wiped of this memory. But does it wash away her crimes? Would the fact if she remembers it or not change what she's done? Standing before the murderer of my family, I would care little for this, would you? Mengsk's annihilation of Tarsonis may be cruel, but wasn't the nuclear irradiation of Korhal by the Confederacy cruel? To Mengsk it was vengeance - murderers of his family and homeworld died in a similar fashion and by "their own" weapons. Besides, didn't Mengsk rebuild Korhal after that in what... a span of a few years? Remember, Korhal was basically glassed by nukes, nothing living remained. Isn't its rebirth a good deed? Now, think of Raynor. If you think of his motivation and of what he did, he isn't a "good guy". All he ever wanted was to kill Mengsk because he "betrayed" the woman he loved. Just to kill Mengsk, what follows be damned. Raynor was lucky that Mengsk had a "good son"... or that the writers created him. If not for Valerian, the headless Dominion would collapse into the abyss of chaos and anarchy, which violence would rival all the wars the terrans waged before - fight for power. True, he loved Kerrigan and he wanted to avenge her no matter what. I would too, even if my vengeance would bring nuclear war. Many people say that vengeance is bad, it shouldn't be allowed to exist, but such words are often spoken by those who never lost anything or anyone in their lives. And Valerian, the so-called benevolent leader... who also just allowed his father to be killed because... the woman who killed his grandfather, grandmother, and aunt wanted to avenge the vengeance brought on her by Mengsk? Please. By evacuating the civilians he also created a very noble image of him in public eyes, was it planned or not, I don't know. And later he humbly accepted the "burden of rulership". Valerian admired his father since he was a child and even though he grew colder later on, he still admired him. He also mourned the deaths of his relatives - grandfather, grandmother, and aunt, even though he hardly knew them. And after all, that to just allow this woman to kill his own father. He disgusts me, however noble he might be as a ruler. The history of SC isn't about good or evil, it is about actions and their consequences. Would Mengsks turn into a tyrant if not for Kerrigan or Confederacy? No, he never wanted this, he despised politics(because of his own father) and all he wanted is to be an explorer and prospector. But if not for Mengsk's "betrayal" we probably wouldn't even have the Queen of Blades. Without the Queen of Blades the Koprulu sector wouldn't suffer so many losses, billions dead... but without her, Amon would surely have won. And even then... what Amon wanted? To break an infinite cycle of death - countless civilizations grew and died just for the xel'naga to be reborn and begin this slaughter all over again. He wanted a universe and its denizens to be free to choose, live and die as they wanted. Life to be born naturally, not by the decision of some greater power. Still, he would destroy all that already is and would probably rule over the new universe as its overseer - to watch the new races and "persuade" them not to become the new xel'naga of sorts. Starcraft isn't about good or bad. It is a tragedy, however you look at it.
@snodog003 жыл бұрын
@@eoftar3192 I'm gonna disagree with you there. If someone killed my family, I would want to chop off their head, not break the knife they used. Kerrigan was a pawn. Sure she did some bad shit, but in this universe, it's not unheard of. That being said, if I could wield the knife that killed my family to topple the organization that had them killed, all the better. Mengsk was just another bastard in a long list of bastards. Notice how the Zerg left when Kerrigan was done AND how she agreed to avoid population centeres even at the cost of giving Mengsk an advantage. There are right and wrong ways to conduct war. Some will disagree and say winning is all that is important, but if you lose yourself and your morals at the cost of victory, you might as well have lost. Mengsk was consumed with his desire to topple the Confederacy AND damn anyone who had wronged him in his life. There's a difference between causing suffering for a grand purpose and causing suffering for vengeance. If Mengsk really wanted Kerrigan dead, he should have done it himself, not by leaving her to let the Zerg do it. He's the architect of his own demise. Had he had the nuts to confront Kerrigan and kill her himself, she would have never become the Queen of Blades and returned to kill him. Sure, she can't defeat Amon, but no one knew about that yet so it's kind of irrelevant. Mengsk threw every man, woman, and child between himself and Kerrigan on Korhal instead of facing her in battle with his forces. He let her rampage through the city as he sat comfortably at his desk. There are many things he could have done to lessen the damage, but he put himself in the middle of everything in hopes a stray bullet found Kerrigans temple. When things went tits up, we find out he had a super-weapon that is specifically designed to kill her? Why wait till half of your city is dead before using it? Oh, because he's a coward who had hoped Kerrigan would have never made it to his office door. Valerian knew his father was a coward and a monster, willing to put everything in harm's way to avoid it himself. Valerian sought out Jim and Matt and met them face to face when they borded his Battlecruiser. When Amon rampages across Korhal, he personally tended to the dead and wounded. He asked Kerrigan to avoid innocent civilians knowing it would make her job harder, and he did it with a stone cold glare that said "You do this or you find new allies." It would be a cold day in hell before you saw Mengsk mourn the dead soldiers that protected him and his regime. Even if Valerian is lying through his teeth and doesn't give a rats ass about the civilians, he at least plays the political part of a leader of the people which is something Mengsk never did. Some of these things may be small, but they're important in the end.

That’d be amazing lol but in my honest opinion i’d wanna see the next starcraft game campaign’s focus would be on a new perspective (may that be new characters from new factions, and other factions like the Tal’darim) a few years later after the end of LotV

Here's what I'd be interested to see. *Terran story*: Return of the United Earth Directorate, 8 years later. In short, they decided to wait until the Second Great War, Kerrigan, Mengsk and the hybrid threat had ended before sending a larger, more organized, and better led fleet to the Koprulu Sector. Unlike DuGalle and Stukov, the UED commanders are far more colder, calculating and effective; and the last to ever allow ignorance and arrogance to be their downfall. Valerian Mengsk, Matt Horner, Nova (maybe) being the reoccurring characters as Kerrigan and Raynor's arc is complete. *Zerg story* For starters, whatever happened to Niadra? She vowed to continue her last directive of hunting down the Protoss. The question being whether would Zagara align with or oppose Niadra. *Protoss* Hmm. Not sure other than how Artanis', Selendis', and Alarak's story would tie into the UED's return and Niadra

Why didn’t they use Selendis’s voice actor for Karrigan? She sounds much more like her in SC1.

Why do I find the little exchange between Raynor and Zagara at 4:50:45 so funny?

it's one of the final missions

@@xLetalis I don't think that's why lol. I'd find it funny even if it was the first mission.

2:51:39 I honestly feel bad for the Warden. *_Firstborn..._* They were created with purpose. To revive fallen comrades, and relive their former lives among their creators. Now they are seperated from the Khala, what purpose do they have? No identity, with memory corrupt, no feelings of emotion. Like two computers trying to communicate to eachother, impossible. Only with guidance of the user, the _firstborn_, to show them meaning. *_I remember..._* The word "forget" doesn't exist for the AI. It is conscious of every second of its existence. They remember what they can remember without fault. They could revive old barbarians with hatred of Protoss, Hierarchs with grudges against past enemies. The Protoss are bewildered, why are they attacking us? Why do they harbor hatred if we have never done anything wrong with them? It can cause public paranoia. And the worst part, is that they can't sit down and think about it; "why?". They cannot defy their programming. They are AI, incapable of self-thought. They must fulfill the duty and wishes of their former hosts. *_Betrayal..._* Their glory was faded in the eyes of the Hierarchs. Immoral, they bear the image of fallen heroes (such as Fenix) and are looked down upon this necromancy. They weren't given a chance of letting their spirits and soul rest in peace. Pupils and young ones look up to their heroes made of flesh, not these nameless robonoids and we are to believe they are them. The abominations of machinery and technology cannot coexist with organics. They are not us. Imperfect, soulless, metal and bolted beings. The damage is done, should they fall in battle and be destroyed, nothing will be lost. They have been downgraded to worthless barbaric heretics. *_Death..._* The Warden exclaims this word. To us in one moment, we could be marching into battle with all our pride; the next could be complete and utter darkness. Can we hear anything, feel anything? A cold void of no thought and sense of time? Do we think and are self aware that we are dead? Are seconds decades, centuries a millennium? Only they know that dark truth. With the absence of the firstborn, they are mindless beings. Initially, they bear the roles of their former hosts: Zealots, Templars, Builders, Leaders. There is no reason for them to exist. Their programming will condemn itself constantly to deactivate, there is no point in existing no-more. A warrior, with nothing to wage war against. A builder, with no schematics and orders to build. A sorceress, with no sorcery to do. A leader, with nothing but memories to lead. This, is how a robot can die. *_Unacceptable._* It evolved. It has banded with other Purifiers, but to each are without identity. They find serenity among eachother, all are one and the same. They can feel free, without the burden of judgement of the populus. They turned, against their creators.

Didn't Shakuras had a Xel'Naga Temple that could eliminate all Zerg on the surface of the planet, why didn't the Matriarch haven't used that to defend her planet?
@ForTheHordeCro9 жыл бұрын
+aruan7sp Because they didn't have the Khalis and the Uraj crystal to power the temple.

+Matej Maretić That's really... convenient.
@ForTheHordeCro9 жыл бұрын
Well yeah. Having seen the scene again, I can tell you why. They can power the Temple without Khalis and Uraj but it wouldn't do them much good. Amon knows where Shakuras is and that's why he opened the Warp gate to the planet. If Protoss just wiped everyone on the planet with the Temple, what good would it do to them? None, because Amon can just send more Zerg through the gate. Or he could even send the Golden Armada after them... The bottom point is, the planet is lost, one way or another. And since it's lost, Vorazun didn't want her home to be under Amon and would rather see it destroyed.
