What are the odds of a 65 year old non tech savvy guy learning this in time to play a purchased display 9 months from now? Not a handyman but confident i can build light mounting structures, but not knowledgable in electrical matters or computers beyond Windows with Outlook, some digital history with images/video/drone etc. Should I just pay somebody to build my controllers & power etc. (plug and play) or can I possibly learn enough to do it all (but purchase sequences). I already know the lights (studying daily) but I need to decide about what I outsource and what I can do myself.

Can it be use with older computers just asking

It really depends on how old and what features. Some older computers may struggle with the Shader effect and some really old operating systems won't work. Anything from Windows 7 onwards should be ok. There is even a 32 bit version floating around but it is not released as frequently as the 64 bit version.
