As someone who has solo queued to masters with only wattson, I can agree and disagree with your statement. I agree, her difficulty is 5/5 but definitely not deserved a place at #24 and was kind’ve slandered for how good her potential is. If you play wattson and learn her thoroughly, your fences won’t get broken easily, your generator placements will be hard to break, and your team will be able to hold any zones (this is all defensive of course) now, OFFENSIVELY, (I used to be a wraith main and have over 10,000 kills on wraith.) the movement on wattson is obviously not as good as many other legends but her movement shouldn’t be overlooked. I play MnK and consistently 1v3 teams with insane fence placements and just taking fights smart. As far as solo queuing with her, there are better options (mainly skirmishers/assault) but like the creator said, find which legend suits your play style. Going from an aggressive playstyle with wraith to wattson I transferred some characteristics and play her as if she was a skirmisher. Overall, Wattson is one of the best legends and imo the best controller (catalyst may tie). I think this video creator was too focused rushing to masters that he didn’t dig deep into these characters and just saw the small somewhat in-depth features. Obviously whoever you main you will be better at then someone just playing them. Any questions lmk Kind of a hard watch to hear what he says when majority is false/common sense/avoidable. For example, an enemy will 100% break your door before your WATTSON FENCE does 🤣 only if you purposely break it yourself.

I agree with both of you because I did the same thing. Wattson is the most difficult character to use which makes her tough to use offensively and defensively. But I’ve pushed places and caused teams to retreat due to quick placement on door from hot drops and around crates. If you have good character movement, once you catch someone in a fence that’s wraps

Wattson deserves to be in the 20s if I was to high ball it I wouldn’t even rank her pass 15. She has no viable attack or Movement. Even when you play her thoroughly fences are easily broken. Doors are broken easily since I’ve seen countless times when teammates open doors when the fences are placed down. I would recommend catalyst over wattson. Wattson is only good with a viable team.

Watson is the first legend i got assassin badge on, got squad wipe and apex predator badge too (not pred ranked I'm not that good) Only other legend i have those on is revenant, (got him by grinding this season) agreed solo queuing she's not too strong but if you lean into support while pushing and putting fences between strafing enemies and blocking off areas while pushing she's got that offence, and with pylon placement too you've got a hell of a push. Would say catalyst has that potential too but don't use her much. Too many people huddle inside a building ala caustic when really she's supposed to be more mobile and supporting like a lifeline. her fences are the hardest part though and her difficulty is something I still struggle with

As a wattson main with over 50 hours on her alone, a 20b, 4k, and assassin badge, I completely agree with you. Btw I play on controller😅 Anyways, she is tough in solo queue but with a premade squad she works really well. I play her with an octane and lifeline (not the best combo I know) and I tend to 1 v 2 easily, but when I get knocked by the third player, my octane rushes in while lifeline resis(idk how to spell that). Just something to think about

Loba has really changed my life. I started maining her in ranked 2 weeks ago and I went from bronze to diamond 2. I will finally reach Masters this season. Being able to craft teammates banners, get out of sticky situations, always have good loot is just invaluable. And being able to change my G7 right before the final circle to a better close range weapon is so insanely good.

As a Maggie Main I can definitely agree on her placement and on the info you gave around her. Indeed you should only play her if you’re a highly agressive player, her abilities are so good if you have great gun skill. She allows for entry kills with her tactical finishing a player when you almost got them knocked, her tactical shines in this. Also in area denial, her tac shines. And her ultimate is just great for breaching through those defensive legends and finishing off fights quickly when it’s needed. Definitely a well rated place in the top 10, all agressive players, go play Maggie. She’s insane

As someone who started maining wattson a few seasons ago with a 4k 20b on her and 4ks on half the roster she is not at 24, her ult and fences arent top tier but they are at least 3/5 for offense and her defense is strong if you focus on how to fence off certian chokes with her. Though the difficulty is 100% correct.

Loba has really change my season 18 experience,since I picked her up my friends and I has been able to simply out gun teams due to her black market and constantly win fights that are deemed “impossible” due to her ammo and armor swaps. Also you’re right ever since I picked her up I averaged more damage, more kills and more wins so thank you scrappy I’ve now officially have a main I actually enjoy using

I was honestly surprised to see Pathfinder's difficulty as high as it was, but the more I thought about it the more it made sense. It does take some creativity and skill to be able to master his kit, but man when you do he is so much fun to play. Plus with his current passive, and being able to get so many ults rapidly is great. I think he is almost as strong as season 2 pathfinder, but he is more balanced now. Season 2 pathfinder with an insanely low cool down was just ridiculous and op. Coming from someone who has been a pathfinder main since s1.

As a Blood main I can agree its much harder to play Blood Solo. So much so I'm thinking about switching mains. Really the only value I see Blood adding to a team is being extremely aggressive finding teams with the ravens or making safer rotations with the ravens. Everything thing else only benefits you now. I'm very happy Catalyst is up there. She's very intimidating indoors and out. Her spikes literally push enemies back. Some players do get a little overconfident and rush through the spikes while being stunned but don't succeed most of the time 😂

I agree with your rankings for the most part. Specifically I think your comments on Maggie were super on point. She's crazy disruptive when dealing with players that want to play the door game, or a 3 stack holding hands and running at you. The drill and the ball catch them off guard every time. Another one you mentioned was how a bad Bangalore player can really screw the team over. Blowing smoke everywhere isn't always the play and tossing an airstrike for no reason can cause a lot of problems. She's not a good pick for unexperienced players. My only real complaint was placing Wattson dead last. I think she carries way more value than a few of the other legends you placed higher than her. Especially if you're somebody that just goes with the flow of whatever the random teammates do and you're not trying to play an entry frag role. The real problem with her is the amount of time (I'm talking 100s of hours) you need to spend to get comfortable using her. However the pylon is very easy to use and it can save the day in endgames when enemies are trying to nade/ult you out of an otherwise good position.

Exactly on point! Everyone wants a Wattson when the ring is small and there's only a few squads left. Being able to counter Gibraltar, Fuse, and Bangalores ults has saved me so many times over. I do think she is the most difficult to play but if you're still playing apex like me you probably like pain 😂

I am a Day 1 Apex player who started on PS4 I achieved Diamond about 6 or 7 times in a row I switched to PC MnK I am currently still in my 1st year of learning MnK I Solo Q'd to Masters from Rookie in 10 days My biggest takeaway wasn't the legend i played, but having CONFIDENCE this time around in NOT BEING AFRAID TO TAKE FIGHTS! I understand this is the easiest season to hit masters, but if you don't have experience hitting at least DIAMOND beforehand then "Easiest season to hit Masters" is very misleading imo. ps: Scrappy, i love you

Wattsons biggest strength is forcing an angle and preventing swings. She takes away the element of surprise. She is amazing in comp, but not so good at soloQ. She can turn any gunfight into a raw gunskill battle. Which is perfect against such an aggressive roster. Good comms and comp make her strong(but admittedly she is pretty weak on her own)

As a Wattson main, I gotta say that while her fences are really useless is newbie's hands, it is really a powerful weapon for both offensive and defensive capabilities when placed in good hands. Not to say that her ult is a life saver for late rings. It is just that not many people really know how to use her fences so she usually gets branded as useless. But yeah the point stands. You have to have big brain to be effective

As a MnK player, I was a little confused why Bang wouldn't be the best solo Q legend, but I suppose that's one difference for roller players. I also main Wattson, and she's my most winning legend, the trick to her in Solo Q that I've found Is to get on comms when you do get those passive teammates, that lack direction, and IGL them to an early rotate. Doesn't get many kills, but with zone knowledge and IGL'ing, I get high placement a lot :) That said, learning wattson and Crypto is a huge freaking task, and you don't see a reward from it for a long time. So I can definitely see why they got the spots that they did on your list. Good video :)

Wattson is a VERY difficult legend to master. She is though however actually one of the best legends in the game if you actually learn how to play her. I went from being a long time Wraith main to wattson. She is super slow but learn to use her fences and how to play her gen and you are gonna be doing crazy plays. Plus her passive allows you to save shields if you aren’t fighting and on top of all of that she can carry 2 out accels and when you use 1 it charges her ult fully. Note you can superglide off her gen as well just takes a bit of practice.

As a Solo-q’er I can agree that these legends can be tough, but once you get used to how to play them aggro and are more used to controlling the speed of fights using your kit, they can be rather strong. (Also its much harder to play wattson’s kit well as a controller rather than pc)

The difference is how the brain works. When using anyone else's abilities (except cryto)there is on 1 step. With Wattson 2 is the minimum. I think there's easier ways to say you didn't really use her kit you just grinded it out playing like Octane 😂 because I know that grind would be long and treacherous.

I respect your opinions, although i completely and utterly disagree. Somechanges i would make: 1-Wattson is done dirty here. Yes shes the highest skill ceiling hero by far, but even a mid-skilled player can find a lot of value from her. The ult is very strong for solo Q as a lot of times shields are a bit of a problem for randoms, especially those who WILL get robbed of all heals after a team fight. Add on that the Wattson fence, if it hits, is a guaranteed W in a 1v1 by far, and a lot of players are dumb enough to fall for the good old Wattson door trick, then any fight in a building can become a 3v2 immediately with a Wattson on your team 2-SEER ISNT 1ST? Im sorry but he is still broken as fuck. Seer veing placed outside the top 3 is criminal, his tactical is still stupid, his ult is dumb strong if placed with above 12IQ, and he is BY FAR the best 3rd party legend as his passive can also show you where sounds are coming from (the sounds are blue movements, not the orange movements and has a far larger range) 3-Vantage can be a little higher. Her LOS denial and general zone control is laughably broken. Think about it, a single character can shut off the entire rotate area from Landslide to the next 400000km through a single ability. And then they gave her one of the most reliable movement techs in the game. And she can tell your entire team what their entire team has in shields and how many is on their team just by looking at their general direction 4-Valk is pretty low. Her ult is still very valuable, as its still far better than an evac tower, her passive of being able to see players when falling is invaluable and the missiles are more of a threat when enemies move out now. Theyre still effective and were never meant to be used indoors. She can definitely jump up a couble spots But these are just personal gripes with the list. I play on console so half the time i cant even see the characters because i play at a whopping 12 frames per hour

I know im 3 months late to this, but as a wattson main I obviously disagree with your first take on so many levels. One thing I do agree on is wattsons difficulty, especially if you try to adapt a Lamic like playstyle on console, its not an easy character to play by any means. I feel like you heavily underestimate wattson small hitbox paired with the very high skill ceiling with her fences. I cant tell you how many times I was face to face with someone and place a fence right on them, moved to the side a little bit, and then killed them with basic movement tech. You also act like her fences have such a high cooldown and completely ignore that her ult allows you to spam fences, which when paired with her ultimate's ordinance denial, makes any area with decent cover an impenetrable fortress. I do agree doors can be important, but seeking out reliable cover or high ground will always preferable, for me at least. I have blocked out hundreds of 3rd parties with Wattson and she is without a doubt the best controller legend for my playstyle. I also cant help but sense a slight skill issue on your part for this character in particular due to blowing off some of the most powerful aspects of her kit when used well. Its about the driver, not the car. Wattson is a 5 in difficulty, 1 in offense, and 5 in defense.

scrappy- I respect your opinion, but I do encourage you to rethink Valkyrie. Your main point was with the addition of the EVAC-Towers, her Ultimate is useless. I personally disagree. The difference between the Tower and her Ultimate is that only YOUR team can use the ult. And, if an enemy team chases you down thru the EVAC, you can ult away with Valk. Also, with her Tactical, you can cancel it midway through by healing, shooting only half the rockets, and giving the Valk a MUCH quicker recharge on the Missile Swarm (Her tactical). With good, timed jumps, her missiles can shoot behind you, and not many people know about this. Also, I am 99% sure that for her passive, (VTOL jets), if you use almost all of the fuel, it will recharge faster.

Valkyrie's ult is extremely strong and is definitely not useless as an evac takes time to deploy. your survival slot, and the time it takes to go up the zipline for both you and your teammates. Plus, evacs can easily be shot down. Her ultimate is far better than an evac and is extremely good at repositioning, rotating, and at getting out of storm. It is also harder to shoot your squad down.

As a wattson main i agree with you that shes not the best but if you play her right you can do some very agressive pushes and plays with her. She just takes a lot of skill.

I’ve felt her main benefit in ranked is just showing presence with the fences. It won’t deter every team from pushing you but will deter a good amount, and slow down the ones that do. But of course you need a team that makes smart decisions and can get you to the good defendable positions in the first place. My top choice for ranked but rarely fits with the randoms in solo queue.

I found this list one of the most accurate, and agree with pretty much all your picks, especially maggie. However personally I would bump up rampart 5-10 spots, as her offence is greatly underated as she is one of the few legends you can consistantly 1v3 as. Her passive doesnt exist, but her ult has a weirdly high skill ceiling as you can easily be a sitting duck, and whipping it out mid fight is nearly always a death sentence. However destroying doors or if you have a jump on a team is a guaranteed knock or 2. Her downfall is definitely her being a quite static legend, but if you play her walls hyperagressively you can semi bypass it, and you can use her walls as bait and use it as a focus draw. Obviously this is quite biased as I've solo'd with rampart for ages, but id place her low middle as her difficulty is quite high, but your solo v squads potential can cover to a certain degree the lack of communication. Overall really good video, keep up the good work!
