Xln Audio XO : how to set it up in MASCHINE !

Here's a video about How to set up XO withing Maschine !!
Be absolutly sure to watch until the end , specially for group setting loading in maschine or you wiull be frustrated as hell !!
Also notice that what i did here is what you would do with any multitimbrale instruments in maschine (from battery to Sonicouture Electro acoustics to Aave Alchemy Revolution ... any kontakt stuff ect ..

This is awesome to know but I find XO in standalone mode to be very very powerful at making beats and I rarely need to play it with my Maschine Mk3 pads. XO is a game changer for me. It is rivaling Maschine and Captain Beats in my workflow IMO.

Great vid thank you! One thing I don't understand though, can I access my library of sounds from Maschine in XO? I have so many NI kits, being able to use the in XO is ultimately what I wante to be able to do.

Of course but the format is the key : ALL Maschine samples will be seen and usable !! BUT the Kits format nope ..... I personnally like Maschine and expansion samples dry anyway (too much FX) so no problme for me , but if you want those NI kits already pre produced , you will then have to skip using XO .

great tutorial thank you ! Do you build drums of songs exporting midi sequence or wav sequence from xo to maschine? Do you export sequence to clip or pattern? Im interested how I can make the whole song as effective as possible.

I don+t have those inputs available on maschine. I can´t export other than wav. stems. Midi stems goes to all same track no on different track s

Basically i sequence on maschine , making all parts needed for the song (for exemple if you have hook , verse and bridge , 3 diff drums pattern , i create 3 patterns ,) I bounce audio in daw (midi sequence are in maschine) , and then structure in daw : WHY ? why do i do that instead of doing the song structure in maschine and then bounce the whole song ? because i reduce the audio files bounced to 4 bars or so (minimum redundancy ) to avoid having 3 mn30 of audio clips for each tracks , , my project is few hundred of MB instead of GB !! (depends on resoluton and Sample rate) ....

Each one has its cons and pros , i was about to reveiw Atlas also but i will wait for the update to make a fair comparison ;) both are great !! XO is deep but can be used simply also ;)thks for watching and sharing yourn thougths ...

This is awesome thank you so much But I have a question can I trigger XO with the Machine controller and MK3 without going through Machine 2 software I would like to put XO on its own VST instrument channel in Cubase 10 and but be able to trigger it with MK3 controller the pads if you can help thanks so much but this video is awesome to thank you

Hi Frank , yes of course you can , just choose maschine as input device in your midi or instrument track in cubase and switch maschine to midi mod and you're good to go , if you don't hear sounds , switch banks (A, B , C ect) it will incremente octaves until you match XO layout ... but you cannot do this in maschine VST to route out into your DAW because you're using the midi output back into XO, correct?

Of course you can ,you'll have to route then each pad (feeded each one by one XO output) to it's own output ....

I'd love to see this in Komplete Kontrol.

Problem is that komplete kontrol doesn't have multi outputs .. need to verify but last time i checked this features wasn't present .The only benefit of having it in komplet ontrol is parametres mapping to NI keyboards .. personnaly i made a KIT in MAschine , you ll benefit way more : multi out / mapping on HW / and drums oriented feautures (note repeat et ....)

@@ZozillaThaGreat KK has multi-output. You just have to put it in Edit view. It then looks and acts just like Kontakt in many ways. I don't own Maschine, which is why I'd like to see this in KK. I own a lot of NI/NKS VIs and reconsider Maschine every so often. But I want it to be more of a DAW replacement, so the limitations keep me away.
