The bulging lats don't look too bad. They probably would look really nice on a larger torso. It's still disappointing to see Hasbro still make limited range articulation bodies after making the Vulcan and Omega Red Bucks. 😢

Honestly, I thought that Cable would have looked good on the Omega Red buck. I don't mind the extra height. I always felt that some of the characters on the old Hyperion body were going to be problems later. A lot of the characters on that buck are gun weilders. Those characters need butterfly shoulders to really pose their weapons. It would have been nice to get the old mold updated with butterflies and pinless joints.🤷🏽‍♂️

11:54 I think they realized the blue didn't give him the intended banana hammock trunks and looked weird. 12:01 I believe these are '97 Bishop hands. That figure's gun, which almost looks like Cable's MvC2 gun, would be better than the Nerf guns they included. 13:36 Accuracy wise, the knee pads were also connected to the top of his boots in the game.

Thanks for your review on this variant of Cable Xmanny. It's 2024 and ML continues their practice of re-using the wrong parts. It wouldn't be such a sin if these parts were appropriate. That heel to butt display was clear evidence of how inappropriate ML re-uses them. When you compared the two variants, I have to admit I still like the BAF version. Thanks again.

I actually really love the bulging lats specifically for that bulge. It's more realistic (and sturdy) for a bulky guy. As for the leg/torso proportion: that's normal and varies in real life per person as well.

The older cable figure, the head has to sit a lot higher to compensate for all the gear he's wearing, the neck is longer. The Capcom cable head sits lower where it's meant to be . That's throwing the height off a good bit. The new body is actually taller side by side

Great review! I appreciate you keeping it real and not glossing over all the flaws with this figure. The kit bashing is really noticeable and inconsistent, making the figure look all disproportionate. That pinned right arm covered in veins sticks out like a sore thumb. Hasbro could’ve definitely put a little more effort into this figure.

Yeah a lot of imperfections. A big beef I have is all the bright yellow for the straps and pouches and stuff. Just BEGS for some dry brushing or other paint apps to bring out the details. But hey, since other blue/yellow Cable figs are either too pricey (Revoltech), too dinky (Toybiz ML) or both (Mezco), this one kinda wins by default with its affordability, heft and decent details.

I swapped the right arm with a extra savage He Man I had and I have not put him down, he's too big for pockets but let's say he's been a pleasant travel companion, also the new arm is much stronger and proportioned better actually holds the BFGs I have, only thing I wish was different and I say this about all is a ball joint waist otherwise I love it.

I really don't have any issues with this figure. The pins don't really bother me, I have liked every figure that has shared those arms. He scales the same ad last years Hyperion, whom he shares many parts with. I've always thought of Cable as having exaggerated perportions anyway. With the suit style changing multiple times, I don't mind the simplified design. He's going in my 90s X-Men display.

I just got this cable a couple days ago. It is so good. I love it. It’s the only figure I got from the wave. I’m considering wolves has been, but I don’t really collect X Factor. I do, but I don’t really love the team like I’m not really familiar with it so this is good and nice review

Amazing review dude you adressed all the discrepancies that kinda bother me with this figure and now that I think about it, that thing with the offcenter waist, may be the reason why they removed the paint in the crouch. If you look at the promo pictures it always look moved to one side so maybe they tried to make it less obvious by removing the paint to hide it.
