XMAXX TRAXXAS 2085R SERVO INSTALL & ISSUE Pt 1

Hope this video helps you all out if your Xmaxx is burning through servos like mine. My Xmaxx has broke three 2085R servos in one month. Traxxas customer service has been very helpful in replacing them every time they broke. They have a 30 day period to exchange defective electronics. After the third broken servo Traxxas paid for shipping to have my whole truck sent in for troubleshooting. I will keep you guys posted on their findings. My Xmaxx is not even a year old.

This happened to me as well! Same part, also on xmaxx, worked fine for 10 minutes then the steering got stuck on right and won't budge. Just called traxxas as well would love to know if there's a part 2

@@doronzukerman5644 Traxxas has my Xmaxx, I got confirmation that they received my truck and I am impatiently waiting to hear back from them to know what the hell the issue is. I will definitely let you know when I post a part2. Sorry to hear it happened to you too. What did Traxxas tell you?

Yo man, I got an update from Traxxas. All they did was replace the servo AGAIN. They had me send in my truck for nothing! They didn’t even check the ESC. I am waiting to get my truck back. I will post a vid of it running and I guarantee it will break again! I recommend you take your truck to a RC shop to get it tested!

⁠same for me... Sent the servo to them and all they said was that it malfunctioned and they are sending a new one... Did the same issue happen to you all 3 times?? Sounds like this servo is not worth the money...

@ same thing happened to all 3 and I am certain it will happen again a 4th time. Some other KZbinr installed theirs and the same thing happened to him hahaha. Link is below. @ I would expect them to atleast send a replacement from a different batch... They must know something is off with this if they got so many recalls already

@@JuanRamirez-dx5rf that sucks, if your servo was purchased within 30days, Traxxas will replace it. They still have my truck. People told me the ESC is over volting the servo and frying them. Once Traxxas lets me know what they find, I will make another video with the resolution.

Traxxas finally reached out, they wasted my time and money sending them my truck for them to only replace the servo AGAIN without checking anything else. People have told me to have your ESC tested for over-voltage. Your esc may be sending way too much voltage to the receiver killing it.
